Not a great performance but we did enough to win and we've come through a really important period undefeated. VDS, Scholes, Ole and Saha will all be back in the next few weeks. Semis and getting that Chelsea game pushed to the end of the season. Marvellous!

We were comfortable and it was a deserved win. Shame the chavs got through. It really is heading for a United Chelsea final, and what a final it would be. Already booked cup final day off work (which I do every year weather United are in or not) and we gave a massive chance of winning it. I love the F.A Cup.
Everytime United get a penalty its dodgy, or when Ronaldo gets a free kick its always a dive. Frustrating, but fuck it. We are through to play Watford in a game where we will be clear favourites and if we win ill be proud to be a supporter of one of the first clubs at Wembley. It said on BBC that we will play on the Saturday. Its Grand National weekend and im going to Aintree, so I hope its wrong as id love to go to Villa Park ;D

Can someone tell me why Fergie persists in playing Richardson?

Can someone tell me why Fergie persists in playing Richardson? I don't know but every time he does I'm quickly reminded why he doesn't belong on our squad. Not the best of performances and it would have been great to see Rooney's chances in the back of the net but we've managed to advance so can't complain about that.

Didn't get to see the game, they showed the bloody Chelski one instead #furious#
Great result (if not performance, judging by the majority of comments on here). The knock on benefits are immense though, still en route in 3 comps, a semi-final to look forward to, confidence soaring, delayed game v. chavs (the result might not matter..or better still, we could win the league at the Bridge!), time for players to return, etc.
If anyone can post a clip of the Ronnie goal celebration I'd really appreciate it! (cheers)

Great to see us in the semis. Vidic and Ferdinand did a good job containing Viduka and Yakubu for most of the game. Although Viduka did beat Ferdinand once or twice. But I cant actually recall a serious shot at Tomasz. Ronaldo, Giggs, Carrick and Heinze all played very well today and were the difference.
I thought Rooney played an absolutly terrible game. He had to have been the worst passer of the ball last night. He just couldnt link up with Ronaldo, Smith or Giggs if his life depended on it. Then he missed those two breakaways... almost got sent off twice and really disappointed me today.

With Heinze starting to hit form surely there is scope to play Evra on the left wing; instead of that useless twat Richardson? He has played on the wing before. Everyone is in agreement that Richardson should put out to pasture with the rest of the donkey's! Southgate is also a twat (with a big nose!).

Richardson should go to a team of his potential and irritation factor, maybe Newcastle.
