Id do anything to be a season ticket holder but I work every other Saturday and I can't get down to O.T everytime they play as I don't finish work till 6.30 which is not enough time to get there. I have even heard that Chelsea and Arsenal have frozen there ticket prices for next season. Why can't we do the same as one of the richest clubs in the World? Mind you, thats how the rich stay rich.
It doesn't matter what we do though, as if we don't get a ticket somebody else will. No amount of protests can alter the fact that we are in debt and that ticket prices will go up next season, and the season after, and the season after etc...

I have to say, the ticket prices don't sound that unreasonable. Here for the NHL (ice hockey) playoffs, the tickets range between $65 - $250 for a playoff ticket. Plus these teams do not have anywhere near the amount of support as Manchester United, but the prices are still really high. So I think football tickets are actually really cheap in comparison. I do understand the point about fans who regularly go being unable to go to the big games at the end but you also have to keep in mind that those fans outside the country or what not also want to see the matches just as badly and they can't travel to England multiple times a year, so they will probably want to see the ones near the end. I am not sure if they have this there, but do they sell tickets on site, where you can line up outside all night or something, then anyone who wants it bad enough can get it. The thing is football is traditionally a middle class sport, whereas there are other sports that cost more, and are a bit more posh. In America we don't really associate sports with social status, but it is about more than just about the sport in England. It's about inner city/country rivalries with your club battling it out for pride. The passion for the sport is also different, football passion is much more aggressive and in a way religious, Old Trafford our cathedral, and Sir Alex the Pope. So for the average working class man to pay 35£ for a ticket is a hefty sum, and on top of that there are drinks, and traveling expenses, etc. So it actually is quite expensive because in the States people rarely go to EVERY game, but for a lot of people here each game is vitally important (partially because the different set up in the league). So spending 100$+ may not sound like much for somebody quite wealthy, but imagine your mailman spending that much on every single game plus extra expenses. It just doesn't happen in the States. Thats just how I understand it though, anyone else feel free to correct me.
