United have been invited to play a fourth friendly on their pre-season tour of Asia against Guangzhou Pharmaceutical FC on 27 July.
The match, which will be jointly organised by the Guangdong Sports Authority and Guangdong Football Association and promoted by ProEvents Management, will be held at the magnificent 80,000-seater Guangdong Olympic Stadium in Guangzhou.
Reds' Chief Executive David Gill said: “I am delighted that we have a further chance to play in front of our fans in China. The tour is an important way of us thanking supporters in the region for their continued loyal support and I know the players are looking forward to it.”
The Reds had to cancel the tour's originally scheduled finale against a Malaysian XI due to a fixture clash with the Asian Cup.
Paul Kam, Chairman of ProEvents Management, expects fans from all over the country including Hong Kong to congregate in Guangzhou for United's final tour match.
“Manchester United is no doubt the most supported club in China with millions of fans watching the team in action on TV week in week out," he said. "Fans over here will have the opportunity to witness first hand how the new group of summer signings
will fit into the team and propel the team to success again domestically as well as in Europe.
“With ticket prices set at RM$900, RMB$600, RM$300 and a student rate of RM$150 we expect a good turnout."
United kick-off their Asia Tour on Tues 17 July against Urawa Red Diamonds in Tokyo, before heading to Korea to take on FC Seoul on Friday 20 July. Next up is a trip to Macau three days to play Shenzhen FC, before the final match in Guangzhou. All of the games will be shown live on MUTV.
