I dont think it will be a hard match, but it's not going to be fulham all over again, i reckon it will be a bit of a boring match, probaly 2-0 united, and we start off where we left off with a solid good start. ( sorry for sounding somewhat pessemistic compared to you lot ;(

I'll plump for a 3-1 win, with an own goal from Heinze! He's been told to stay away apparently. I think the lads will look to put this in the bag early, as they have a tricky game in the week.

And here we go. First game of the season. Wahey #dance#
It will be interesting to see who starts. Im hoping to see one of the new boys, especially Anderson because I have hardly seen him yet. I can maybe see a 3-1 or 3-0 but we will see. Lets just hope we shoot out of the starting blocks.
Football's back.
YEAHHHHH!!!

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that new signings Nani, Anderson and Owen Hargreaves will feature in United’s squad to face Reading on Sunday. The Reds begin their defence of the Premier League title against Steve Coppell’s Royals at Old Trafford, and all three new boys are available for selection. Paul Scholes is also fit and raring to go after emerging unscathed from his surprise midweek return against Dunfermline at East End Park. "Nani and Anderson will be in the squad, but whether they start or not, I have my doubts," the boss told reporters. "They probably need a bit more training and a few games. But I’m putting them in the squad anyway. Paul Scholes came through the game on Wednesday and he will be available for Sunday, which is good news. "Owen played 60 minutes against Dunfermline and he will definitely be in Sunday's squad. He probably needs another game, but we were very pleased with his contribution. He showed exactly what he'll bring to the team. There was great speed to his play and I was delighted with his contribution." United’s attacking options will be further boosted in the near future, with news that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Louis Saha were back in full training this week. The boss said: "Louis and Ole started training with the first team this week, which is good news. Hopefully they're not too far away. It will be great to have them back because of the experience they bring to the front line." Skipper Gary Neville, however, is still some way from a comeback, having damaged ankle ligaments against Bolton last March. "Gary Neville is making progress, but it’s pretty slow," added Sir Alex. "I don’t think he’ll be available for three weeks." _________________________________________________ we Tevez addittion im curious to see who will start

I think Ferguson probably would have been expecting a longer wait before having Nani in the team but the way he's played pre-season I don't think you can leave him out of the squad. He definately deserves a place on the bench. Can't wait now!
Going for a 3:0 Couple from Rooney and one from Giggs!

I want us to come out all fires blazing here. I want enough battering like the start of last season, just to terrify everyone. They're all shit scared as it is, looking at our team on paper, but I want to give them all something which will really shit them up.
4-1.

Can see this being quite tough, but as long as we're patient I reckon we'll win 2-0.

I think it will be a tough game but once we get to 2:0 there's no reason why we shouldn't go and get 1 or two more. Just glad the "summers" over now and we can back to football. I'm lost without it!

VdS Brown, Rio, Vida, Evra
Eagles, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs
Ronaldo, Rooney
I hope we play 4-4-2 cos we don't do a 4-3-3 proberly with our players. No need for the defensive edge with Owen in the midfield.
3:0 United (Rooney double)
OOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh myyyyyyyyyyyy Godddd i'm fuckin buzzin' and its only Friday!

I liked seeing Evra on the wing during the community shield & think that could work well at certain times. Then again....the thought of 7 & 17 attacking down opposite flanks is deadly! ;D 3-0 UNITED!!!!!!!

I'm hoping to see Nani in action against a quality opponent for the first time and see how he does. He has been exceptional in the friendlies.
I cant wait and I hope we score loads of goals tomorrow, same as we did last season.
