2-0 to us. Might not be as easy as people think, but Tevez will get off the mark today!

No Carrick, no Giggs. Eagles starts and Anderson makes his debut.

Get in there Louis !! ;D
He was the spark United needed for threatening the Sunderland goal more and he certainly pulled off some good shots and moves. As always Hargreaves did a wonderful job as midfield enforcer, Nani was lively while the goal-shy Tevez had a much better game by helping the team out whichever way he could have. Keep faith son, you will score soon and score plenty.
But Saha did it for us, welcome back.

Writing before I think about it OK - I had this down as 1-0 saha penalty - I was almost right. Team looked sluggish. Sideways passes and suicidal passes in the middle - lack of movement and pace up front. The things are related IMO - Ronaldo normally (and Giggs/Rooney sometimes) provide the link role taking the suicide pass or the square ball and holding it while the team moves or moving it himsef. Having finally got into their third we look better for Saha's presence - amazing that he looked like the sharpest player on the field given how long he's been out. Good news for when Roo/Ron get back - if he can stay fit and get his match sharpness honed.

Its still slow, there was nothing shown today that we would say will retain the title.Really poor performance against a team that will struggle to stay up.Apart from the goal,we were totally out of soughts we need to wake up..

Yeah the saddest thing was if you compare it to their game with Liverpool. It was only 2-0 but Liverpool never looked like failing. We'll improve!

I'll tell you what, that international break could not be timed better.
Rooney and Ronaldo to return, Saha to better his fitness and a chance to really get going in a tough game against Everton.
I still feel we need another striker, we all saw there how much Saha was needed, but what if he gets injured now?
Rooney is wasted playing the main striker role, Tevez simply can't play it, simple as. We all saw what Tevez can do today, play in Rooney's role, what's that Fergie, they're not the same? Well Fergie, they're both wasted playing where you want one of them to. Be interesting.
Hargreaves was brilliant, we still need Nev's presence, but Brown had a fantastic game.
