Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Nemanja Vidic is a doubt for Saturday's trip to Bolton, but revealed that Wayne Rooney will return against Fulham in the Reds' following Premier League match.
Vidic suffered a back injury while on international duty with Serbia and, although he undertook some light running on Friday, Sir Alex will wait until Saturday before making a decision on his inclusion.
While there are doubts over Vidic's participation, the United manager revealed that Carlos Tevez will start at the Reebok Stadium, despite media reports that he would be rested due to tiredness.
Tevez's strike partner Rooney has also provided a timely fillip. Having taken part in jogging sessions on Thursday and Friday, the England striker will return from an ankle injury against Fulham on 3 December.
Club captain Gary Neville is also set to resume his comeback in the Reserves' trip to Sunderland next Thursday.

this wont be easy. i just want us to win. and maybe not concede, nolan seems to be like lampard shooting deflected shots and they eventually go in but i think 3-1 or 2-0 would do us real good. rather a cleansheet though

Van Der Sar
Neville - Ferdinand - Brown - Evra
Ronaldo - Carrick - Hargreaves - Nani
Saha - Tevez Prediction: 3-0 United: Ronaldo, Carrick and Saha. I want Nani to start but he played in internationals whereas Giggsy never so maybe having put his feet up for a week or so Giggs will get the start. Neville should be ready for a start right? Especially with Vidic out but if not Simpson on the right - he'll do a good job for us there. A comfortable United victory I think.

I expect a win tomorrow, but I don't think it'll be a comfortable one like most. Anelka and Diouff are both back and they are one of the best strike partnerships in the league, and we're likely to be without Vidic.
Great opportunity to catch Arsenal tomorrow, they're without Fabragas, and Hleb their best two players this season.

I think this will be a tough game; not the 3 or 4 nil that some are predicting. Let's not forget that Bolton drew 2-2 with Bayern recently. I think that Fergie may rest some of the players who played during the week; expect Nani and Tevez to start on the bench. I reckon that Saha and Giggs may start up front, with Ronaldo, Carrick, Hargreaves, and Fletcher in the middle. Then again, what do I know? I'll go for 2-1 to Utd.

Neville is playing reserves against Sunderland this thursday for his first match back, again. Which hopefully means he isn't too far away eh.

Expect a tough game, but 2-0 win for us with Saha and Anderson getting the goals.
VDS
Simpson Rio Brown/Pique Evra
Ronaldo Hargreaves Anderson Giggs
Saha Tevez
Subs: Nani and Carrick will come on for Hargreaves and Tevez, Giggs goes upfront.
Anyone know if Neville will be ready for Fulham?
Hopefully we can win this, get Rooney and Nev back for Fulham before tearing apart Derby 10 - 0. And thats the hard part! #beer#

VDS Brown-------Pique-------Rio-------Evra Ronaldo----Carrick---Hargreaves---Giggs Saha-------Tevez
I don't think Fergie will risk Vida when Pique has been playing so well. I want to see how Hargreaves and Carrick play together because they are supposedly our Center MIdfield for years to come. Other than that a probably easy win Bolton haven't been impressive for the past couple of games.

Who started the rumour that said Tevez told Fergie he was 'too tired' to play. That made me laugh my ass right off. Can you imagine a professional footballer at the top of his game saying something like that Tevez Saha to start up front I hope - good chance to see if they can do better than Rooney/Tevez. Hope they run the roller over the pitch though - otherwise balsawood man will go down then we'll only have Tevez left up front Then we will have problems ffs 2-1 United (Tevez, Ronaldo)

This could potentially be a very tricky game for United. Of course there's every chance we'll score an early goal and they'll bend over and let us fuck em like we did last season. But I imagine we'll be more likely to see a stirring performance from the Bolton lads. They're having a fucking dreadful season, and without trying to sound low rent, this will be like a cup final for them. Get a result against United and that will heal some of the wounds over being so shit. If this game was at home, I think we'd totally spank them, but in front of their own fans, they could find that reserve of energy from somewhere, and really give us a game. That coupled with our difficulties up front, and we're looking at potentially a really tough match.
I still fancy United to win of course, but I'm not as confident as some people in this thread appear to be.

Tough, tough game, especially after an International break. Don't see this being 4-0 at all. 2-1 to us and I hope Vidic is playing. He was immense there last season. Very important to nail this tomorrow as we have 2 easy games coming before the Scouse match.
