Ronaldo was really greedy today. Maybe he does not want Tevez to get a hat trick before he does. Most probably not , but I was defo disappointed with his selfish attitude.

It wasn't really a penalty anyway, I get really pissed off with Ronaldo diving all the time, if he could iron it out of his play he could truly become one of the all-time greats.

One thing I noticed today a lot was poor touches from Rooney mainly in first-time chipped passes that went to no-one, but apart from that a good game.

Carlitos my motm without a doubt. Thought Ronny would let him take the penalty but w/e, it's no big deal. Congrats to Giggsy on 100. #worship# If the weather wasn't so terrible we could've gotten more, but we still got four so I'm happy. Hopefully that keeps the momentum going. Roll on the Dippers!

Agree, this side of his game pisses me off big time. I came out in support of him last week when, although he appeared to make a bit of a meal of it, the circumstances still indicated a clear-cut penalty. Not so this week, a clear dive! How the fuck can he gain the overall respect he deserves when he plays up like that? Considering the conditions, a good performance and congrats to Giggsy and Tevez. And to make it a near perfect night, the scousers lost!

That was a professional decision, not a greedy one (taking emotions out of it) to ensure the best possible chance of adding to the goal tally. We need the goals for our gd and shouldn't mess about (and I'm sure SAF would agree!). Had we been 6 or 7 up it would've become a different matter.

Rooneys touches were terrible today as someone else mentioned. Sometimes he needs to just make the simple passes instead of trying to do this flashy one-time chipped passes. But glad about the 3 points and hopefully Fergie is smart and rests Ronaldo, Tevez, VDS and Ferdinand for the Roma match

However, Ronaldo has got to stamp it out completely (the diving). We are grateful he has decimated it, but he needs to obliterate it.

Yaeh it is the one real negative to his game ( two if you count his occasional dive ). Rooney is only just coming back from injury. A couple more games and he'll be back to full fitness. That'll make a difference.

Ronaldo was greedy today? I've seen days when he's been greedier. A free kick, 25 yards out and he clipped it in for Tevez's goal when it suited a shot and the goal he put on a plate for Rooney which was excellently cleared by the Derby defender. Hardly greedy. The penalty was won by Ronaldo rather than commited by the defender and it's not what we want him to do although it's the first time it's happened in months but on the thing with penalties is it seemed it evened it self out. We should've had one against Fulham and got one that never was against Derby. Ryan Giggs, fuckin' superb today. His pass for Rooney when he hit the post was sublime, his volley which come out off the post was excellent and his goal was thoroughly deserved. 11th member of the 100 league goals club! A great victory considering other results this weekend.

I recon Ronny was only thinking of one thing and that was himself. He thinks he's in with a chance of Premiership top goalscorer (which he is) and that is why he took the Pen imo took keep the goals coming. Shame really Tevez deserved a hat trick and i would have thought his team mate would help him out with it.

Thing is, Ronaldo's designated penalty taker. Unless the orders come from Fergie himself, then he should always be taking them.
Plus that goal sets up him up nicely to break Van Nistelrooy's record, of goals in consecutive games.

True he is our Penalty taker but most others let a person on two goals take the pen if it means a hat trick for them. I guess he could have been thinking about Ruud's record but he still has to score in 4 more games which could include him playing just a small part in Rome and a tough game away to Liverpool. At least Tevez didn’t seem to mind and goals for the team are more important than goals for the individuals.

I'm in two minds about the penalty taker argument. Yes Ronnie was our designated taker but you could plainly see Tevez talking to him asking and Ronnie telling him its him taking them. My mobile video of the penalty including ARGENTINA! chants is too big to send to photobucket so can't share it on here
