vs After the performance against Newcastle last week, we should expect to see a flurry of goals against struggling Fulham. However, they are quite a tough proposition at their place. I would expect to see some changes, perhaps Saha getting a start? I think Vidic is struggling with a hamstring strain, so he may not be risked. Van Der Sar O'Shea - Ferdinand - Brown - Evra Ronaldo - Hargreaves - Anderson - Nani Rooney - Saha Bench: Vidic, Tevez, Carrick, Scholes, Tomaz I'll go for a 3-1 win with Rooney, Ronnie, and Saha getting the goals.

I'm actually a little scared for this one.
For some reason, we seem to demolish these fuckers at home, yet take it to the wire away. Remember what it took last season?

We can only pick what we know to be seven out of the eleven players that will start the game because of the emergence of Anderson, Nani, Carrick's return to form and Saha's return to fitness. I'm just confused at who will line up in the midfield with Ronaldo, as it seems he will always start due to his incredible form (me saying that though, he'll be benched on Saturday ) I'm looking forward to the game, Arsenal at home to Villa at the same time - we could bridge the gap further between us and Arsenal. I'll go for a starting eleven of: Van Der Sar
Brown - Ferdinand - Vidic - Evra
Ronaldo - Anderson - Scholes - Nani
Rooney - Tevez I reckon we'll win, hopefully we don't make it too difficult for ourselves with Champions League and FA Cup football to come before our next league outing. I'll go for a 3 - 0 win with Ronaldo, Rooney and Anderson on the scoresheet. He has to score some time!

I get the feeling Vidic might be left out being that we have Lyon on Tuesday, though I don't want to take any chances with the league because we can't afford to slip anymore. If Fulham show up for this one it might be a replay of last year, but I'm hoping we take it to them early and come out with a 2-0 win.

Van Der Sar Brown- Rio- Pique- O'shea Ronaldo- Fletcher- Anderson- Nani Tevez- Rooney I think that Fergie will play a weaker side, we have Lyon on Tues. and we need a strong team to beat them.

Probably been quite a good rest for them over the last week, quite good to be able to do that at this stage of the season. We all know the lineup will depend on the Lyon game, but i'm unsure what formation he'll play against Lyon at home, so it's difficult to predict, so i won't even try! I think that everybody's chosen a different lineup is testament to that. One thing i'd like to see him do is rest the defence a bit more, they're on top form but they've played flat out pretty much all season, i'm surprised at the lack of use of O'Shea really, it's a massive comedown for Pique playing week-in week-out in the reserves too, he's far, far too good for that. He's barely featured since the Bolton cock-up infact. Saha should have the legs to do today and Tuesday, but then so should the other 2 after Rooney's rest through suspension and Tevez not playing against Lyon. Who knows?

From BBC today:
Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs is a doubt for the trip to Craven Cottage after he picked up a calf strain.
Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra have recovered from a calf strain and a stomach virus respectively and both should play a part.
Man Utd (from): Van der Sar, Brown, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Ronaldo, Carrick, Fletcher, Hargreaves, Nani, Rooney, Tevez, Scholes, O'Shea, Saha, Kuszczak, Anderson, Park, Simpson, Eagles.
Surely if Saha is fit then this is the kind of game he should start in? Either Carlos or Wayne could be kept on the bench in case things go pear-shaped (unlikely) and be fresher for the game on Tuesday as a result. I know we've had a week off but it'll be a long time before that happens again. Tomorrow's game and Derby away gives us a good chance to use the squad. Within reason obviously!

Tomasz Simpson Pique Brown O'Shea Ronaldo Fletcher Carrick Nani Rooney(C) Tevez / Welbeck Bench: Saha, Anderson, Giggs, Vidic, VDS Was that a joke? 2-0 United Ronnie and Rooney to score. VDS Brown Rio Pique Evra Ronnie Anderson Scholes Giggs Rooney Tevez I can see Scholes and Giggs playing, because we have had a weeks rest, so they wont be tired, and we may aswell use them before the season gets tough and the age may kick in more than last season.

Van Der Sar
Brown - Ferdinand - Vidic - Evra
Fletcher - Carrick- Anderson
Rooney - Saha - Ronaldo I think we should go with a strong team. Carrick and Anderson are the in form pair at the moment. Saha looked good againt Newcastle so give him his first start here and rest Tevez for the Lyon game. In away games having that extra man in the middle to work his socks off is vital. Flecther should do a good job. Once we have the game won we can give Scholes a run out. 3:1 to Utd. Rooney, Ronaldo, Saha.
