Poor performance but at least we got the 3 points. Now for Boro to do us a favour.

It's because they were playing us. As per friggin' usual. Job done on a difficult day, weather conditions didn't sound too good, pitch also not brilliant. Happy to have gotten through a possible banana skin C'mon Boro'!!!

Paul Jewell himself has been the one critising the Derby players effort and their performances... and you trying to tell me if they had put this effort into games such as the West Ham game they played at home they would have got HAMMERED 5-0! Cause i don't think they would have!

It wasn't just us playing bad, It was them playing like hell! Jewell can be proud, this was probably they're best performance this year.

Jeebus!!! Wish they wouldn't make it so bloody difficult! No bleedin nails left. Fergie need to stop handicapping the players with these silly formations, and the players need to practice the clinical parts of the game before the Bolton game. Foster might have done enough to keep goal in the next game. TOP OF THE LEAGUE ;D

I thin if they put that effort into every game this season the probably wouldn't be bottom. I just don't see how the players are being hypocrits.

Not pleased with that performance. FFS, can't remember anyone else other than Ronaldo having an effort on goal in the second half. Derby pushed us too hard for my liking. Cunts the lot of them (besides Carroll); good riddance to them, hope they never come back up again. All I can say is, if we play like that @ Boro or Blackburn next month, we are gonna get it bad big time.
Park had a good game IMO; good to see. And Foster .. good debut.

Well it's fair to say I was expecting more than that from us today, and few goals and a confidence booster would have been ideal and after Derbys battering midweek I hoped they'd still be reeling but we just couldn't make that break through and but for a couple of good foster saves it coulda been a disaster, as it is I'm just happy to look at the table and see us sitting at the top, Ronaldo might not always bring it out for the big teams but the amount of times his quality is just too much for teams like Derby to handle is invaluable, just phenominal the number of goals he's got this season.
Hope for an improved performance in our next outing but if it comes to it I'll take another 1-0 win too, 3 points is all that matters right now.

Like Fergie said once about Leeds "They are Cheating their own manager" when they specifically up their game against us! I checked their fixtures and their next match is Boro away. whats the bet they loose that match and loose Royally! If that does happen i think they' rebeing Hypocritical! To their fans and manager!

I can certainly say I've not had such a profound sense of relief for quite a while. Derby were excellent, and at times in the second half their possession not just effort was worthy of a better result.
The first 30 minutes were excellent, the rest of the performance was disgraceful. The lack of movement, pace, touch or cohesion could really have resulted in a loss and we're probably lucky that Derby didn't manage to nick one themselves.
The defence clearly missed the composure of Rio Ferdinand, but also notable off-the-ball was the lack of a covering defensive midfielder, neither Scholes nor Anderson did this and although this led to a lot of men in attack (at times, too many) the back four was really rather exposed. Apart from the first 30 minutes, Park, Scholes and Giggs were well below standard, and were only better than Saha.
This was largely won by the endeavors of Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo. Thank fuck for the three points, frankly.

when we look our chances we should score few in first half, first ronaldo couldnt hit the target, then his post, then giggs done wrong, caroll great save after ronaldo great shot
we missed rio in defence much
had to congratulate derby on their spirit and their fans, not many fans will still make full their stadium when club is in this condidion and cheer every good move by their team
