home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=388544&CPID=24&clid=1&lid=&title=Puel+extends+stay+at+Lillenow id like to point u all to one paragraph...thats says....... The northern French team remain in financial difficulties and will be without a new stadium until 2009, but would still be likely to dismiss any offers for the Cameroon international under €25 million (£17 million). now..17 million for a player than doesnt look any better than djemba fucking djemba...this lot at lille...must be having a laugh....

I'm fed up of being linked to these average players. I just hope Fergie is trying to throw everyone off the scent so our players dont get pinched by Chelsea!

its not the quality of makoun that bothers me...for bout 5 million he seems like a decent squad player....but 17 million...i mean diarra, carrick n reo-coker are all betta players n we would feel ripped off if we paid that much for them..... these foreign clubs seem to have dilussions of grandure...i mean who do they think would pay 17 million for an average player.....

I like what i've seen of him for Cameroon in the ANC and for Lille, but £17 mill.? You're having a laugh! Football needs a serious jolt back into reality; starting with Abramovich's arrest.

Makoun is a squad player. Whatever happened to our interest in Muntari from Udinese? Apparently we almost signed him at christmas. He's as good as most of these guys we're linked with ie Diarra, Makoun and god forbid Duschler. I've seen him a fair bit on tv this year and he's really impressive, good with the ball, athletic and a strong tackler. Much cheaper than those other guys too.

I think, but could be wrong, thats he's around 23 or 24. We actually had him on our books when he 17 but there was some problem with visas or work permits. He'd been part of a really good Ghanian youth team. He was superb in two matches in the champions lge against Barca this year. He wreaked his thigh in January but is fit again now.

I reckon we'd probably end up with Makoun if the Diarra deal doesn't happen!
