I'd love to see either of them join, the prospect of having Rooney partnered with one of those two is great. I have a feeling it won't happen though. Would like to be proven wrong....

Obviously you can't garuntee anyone you bring in will score 20 a season.. even as Chelsea may get Shevshenko, he's only proven in Serie A, the one place Crespo came from and failed in the premiership after coming from Italy..
Ruud came from holland and PSV, he had an ok scoring rate over there, but the important thing was he settled in the premiership and did great, now Klaus Jan Huntelaar is a slightly different player to Ruud, he not only poaches goals, turning defenders and getting powerful shots off, he scores headers and shots from outside the area too... His game is much more rounded than Ruud and he's only 21! Not to mention the fact he''s moved clubs 4 times now and scored many for all of them and wouldn't cost 15-20 mil that Torres would who can barely scrape 15 goals a season.
IF Ruud goes, he is the only one who should come in. IF Ruud doesn't go, he should still come in within the next few years or we are missing out.

Shevchenko will score goals no matter what level he plays at and whatever league he plays in the guy is class and a proven goal scorer over the last decade at the top level.

At the top Italian level. Just as crespo was and how many has Crespo got this season?
I'm not saying he won't score many every season, just that if Chelsea are gonna pay 25-30 mil or however much for him its a huge gamble with the track record of Italian strikers in the premiership such as Crespo.

Shevchenko is a different class from Crespo, he's a one man team, and it'll be interesting to see how he fits in at Chelski
