Who else thinks we should seriously keep Ronaldo?
WHAT a talent! OK so he isnt polished and can be inconsistent, but look at the personal years he has had, keeping him at UTD is a MUST, maturing him and helping him polish up on things and get him passing as much as he makes defences crazy!
With him and Rooney we have arguably 2 of the, if not THE best under 21's in the world (people may argue but i dont care)
I reckon the guy can become a UTD legend, anyone got any views on it?

He is one of the best u-21's in the world, and I don't mean to cause controversy here, a lot of people outside England view him as a bigger talent than Rooney. He could be a United legend, but the question is how long will he ignore the temptation to play in Spain?

Ronaldo is the 2nd best under 21 international in world football, to get rid of him would be criminal, he says he wants to make himself a United legend before going anywhere. To become a legend at Untied you have to win big time ;D I get the feeling if we win big time with him and Rooney why would either of them go anywhere...

Nah we should get rid of rooney, he only scored 16 goals and caused the club to come under fire from the media by breaking his foot. Over rated fatty, give him to Chelski Being serious, I think next season is when we will either see Ronaldo finally deliver a near complete package or show us he isn't going anywhere...I think he will finally deliver personally.

No-one doubted that Veron and Forlan had the ability - it's whether he'll ever really fulfil his potential at United.
Garry Birtles was the best striker in the country until he walked into OT, and then he didn't hit a barn door.
I wouldn't sell him mind - he's a very good player with a desire to win - but he'll never do as well for us as he would at a number of other clubs.
He won't be here in 2 years time.

think i agree with welshdevil on this one, with us buying him at such a young age its easier to make him into a consistent premiership player than it would have been if he had spent the last two or three years in spain or portugal. This is where i think the problem could be with kerlon if he signs as he will probably spend 3 years on loan in spain being moulded into the spanish game, which is a completely different game and could possibly make it harder to turn him into a premiership player.

He scored some belting goals this season. The 30 yarder against Fulham was outstanding.

He has about 3/4 shots every game that fly just wide, hopefully another thing which will come with experience.
Heard some people say figo was similar at his age, then he matured.. thing is Ronaldo has more going for him than Figo did in terms of Physique and skill, he can do anything in the future if molded in the correct way.

Sure, but when he gets his shot on target (Totteham, West Brom, Fulham (twice), a few portugal goals) they absolutely fly in. And wingers never score more than 15 a season, the point is that Ronaldo has the potential to be a proper 15 a season winger, an all-action attacker.

I can’t believe this thread has even been made; it’s preposterous that the subject of him being sold has even been brought up. Yes, let’s sell our best players whilst in the middle of building a new team, talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Inconsistent at times or not, he’s a very good player who’s only going to get better.
