I dont think its a good idea to have Ronaldo up front because he wastes a lot of chances. His and Rooney's best positions are just behind the striker. So we could have a team looking like this:
-------------------VDS----------------------
Neville------Rio-----Vidic------Heinze
-----------------Diarra?-------------------
Joaquin---------------------------Ribery
------Ronaldo-----------Rooney-------
---------------Saha or Torres----------
This is a pretty attacking formation but it would work if Rooney and Ronaldo track back a bit. Also if we need to switch to a more defensive formation we can take off one of the wingers and put in Scholes or Giggs.

Joaquin gives green light for Premiership switch
Spanish international Joaquin has admitted he is tempted to play in the Premiership, sparking rumours that Manchester United and Newcastle could swoop.
The Real Betis ace has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for several seasons, and Newcastle showed strong interest in bringing the 24-year-old to England last summer.
Joaquin is currently training with the Spanish World Cup squad, and admitted that the seven stars in that party who play in England have told him to try the Premiership.
"My national team-mates have spoken to me about the Premiership saying that it's a fantastic competition and that it would be a good move for me. If I was go to there, we would have to wait and see how it goes.
"We will have to go for the strongest offer because Betis will not transfer me just like that, but I also want to go where I can win and be happy from a professional and personal level."

I don't really think Joaquin is that good from what I've seen of him, Ribery is much better Although I haven't seen that much of Joaquin...I think he is over-rated!

But you're talking about REAL BETIS, wouldn't take much for a player to shine in their team would it?

He was also pretty amazing in the last world cup, by far Spain's best player, and I think he will light up this World Cup as well.

We can't afford Ribery and Joaquin so it'll be or none really. I'd be shocked if Chelski don't go for both just to make sure neither us, nor arsenal, nor liverpool can have them.
Oh yeah Joaquin is more likely to go to Liverpool cos he's made it public in the past he wants to work under Benitez

They wont go to Chelsea because they know they will get no first team football there.
I can see Liverpool getting Joaquin and us getting Ribery. I dont think we need both of them anyway and I'd prefer Ribery as he can play on both wings.

I'm glad we're in for Ribery, people saying he's new Zidane is misleading because he's a totally different type of player, he's more likely to bomb down the wing whereas Zidane would dictate a game with his passing, Ribery does look ace mind, a quality signing I feel
