The club saying he's not for sale means nothing...Essien, Sheva, Ballack etc. were all not for sale according to their clubs just a little while before they signed for Chelsea.

I dont think we really need this guy, but I just want us to sign someone now, and I reckon he'd be good enough.

When comments like this come out it's usually a sign things are close to being sorted..I hope so anyways, would give us a chance to try Ronaldo in more central role as well as other things.

With Ribery, Ronaldo, Rooney and possibly (hopefully) Riquelme going forward we will get loads of goals if we have a good striker, like RVN in his prime. So hopefully he comes and either RVN stays or Saha is consistent next season.
