From Sky Sports:
Reports in Spain claim Real Zaragoza want to sign Manchester United teenager Gerard Pique on loan.
The 19-year-old is highly regarded at Old Trafford after joining United from Barcelona's youth team two years ago.
Last season, he made seven appearances for The Red Devils and is likely to remain a fringe figure in Sir Alex Ferguson's plans next term.
To that end, Ferguson could decide to farm out the defender on loan, with Zaragoza reportedly interested in Pique.
Zaragoza finished in mid-table in La Liga last season and are determined to push up the standings in the 2006/07 campaign.
Pique has been pinpointed as a player who could aid the club's ambitions and reports suggest Zaragoza will soon make contact with United.
With the Premiership club well stocked in the defensive department, the club could be open to Zaragoza's approach to hand Pique more first-team experience.

Would certainly do him good. I doubt he will get anygames at United with Heinze coming back there would be a lot of player for those 4 positions in defence.

Yeah I think that'll definitely be good for him because we are not in short supply of defenders. He'll get experience playing against some of the best players in the world.

i think he should go on loan to a team in the premiership. Because defending in spain and in england is different

Hmm, I think if he were to go on loan in the prem it would better suit us but if he's not going to get much playing time then he's better of starting for Zaragosa and getting valuable experience in the top league.

Good move for him if he makes it, unless Fergie plans on using him this season. Who knows?! There's certaintly a lot of competition in the defence though!

Yeah, I don't see him getting too much playing time with the level of defenders we have but who knows, Fergie may want to keep him here and put him in the second half of matches once we have a comfortable lead..assuming there are a lot of those next season which I think there will be!

Could be good but in order for him to get into the first team he will need to bulk up and gain the physical side of the game. Spain will not provide him with this experience, it will provide him with a lot of technical experience. Overall it would be better for him to go to a another premiership or championship club, but going to Spain would be better than nothing.

I think we can all agree that first team footie is exactly where can be problematic, I agree premiershipis a good idea, howevet loaning him to someone where he's likely to get on like Watford, would it not be better to get experience with good experienced defenders in Spain than to get thumped, week in, week out for a season he'd come back woth confidence in tatters.
Spain is the best place for him, as long as he remembers he has a united shirt on his back at the end of the day

He certainly wont get more first team chances at United next season with Heinze coming back. The loan deal will certainly do him good. Would have preffered an English club though as it would be better for him when he returned to United.
