I know everyone seems to be excited about the performance of Riquelme in the game today, but did anybody notice Y. Toure. I thought he was a force in the middle, and one of the best players for Ivory Coast today. I'm pretty sure we'll get Carrick, but insteading of bringing in overpriced Diarra as well, we should also make a bid for Yaya. I think we wouldn't have to break the bank either with this move as I think we can get him for between 7-9 million. Y. Toure, Carrick and Riquelme would defenitely solve our mid-field problems.

Yeah I was definitely more imprssed with Zokora although both would be able to do a very good job for us.

Yeah Ivory Coast have a good team, Zokora and Y Toure defenitely make a solid partnership - could go for either, but i prefer Mascherano!

macherano? are u serious...ive heard alot of good things about him...but he went unoticed last night.... yaya toure ran the show from midfield at times....i am a big follower of greek football and last season yaya toure was the best player at olympiakos outshining players like rivaldo and giovanni...he was man of the match against lyon and real madrid... dubbed the new patrick vieira..i would love us to sign him....
only problem beeing his club olympiakos is the only club in greece that dont have money troubles (kokkalis their chairman is a rich man) and they do need to sell, plus they r building a side and would lothe to sell him....but it shouldnt b hard to force their hand

I agree Zakora looked class yesterday as well, they would both be great additions. But apparently Spurs are after Zakora. Also, even though Y. Toure's brother is at teh Arse, he's already stated that he did not want to play with his brother! LOL, I guess he's imbarrased that his brother would lower himself and play with a club like L'Arse!

It wasn't for no reason, besides you should have heard waht some of hte pundits were saying 'the perfect holding player, but and he has bags of vision to spare' etc etc.

He said he prefers Man Utd, Chelsea or Liverpool, but would also prefer a move to Spain over England. I don't think Arsenal will get him but I don't think we will sign him either.

Considering he plays in the Greek league domestically it will take more than one decent performance to convince me, after watching them play though they stand a really good chance against Holland, will be interesting to see him there.
