Vidic is a doubt for the start of the season, I think he has picked up a knee cruciate ligament injury and will DEFINITELY miss the World Cup in Germany. SO SAD!

It's a big shame, but we'll be ok we have Brown ready, you could argue he was first choice anyway. We also have Heinze comming back, and if need be, we could play him at Centre back with Silvestre at left!

This would be my ideal formation next season: -----------------------VDS------------------------------ Neville------Rio---------Vidic/Brown----Heinze -------Carick----------Diarra/Mascherano------- Ronaldo-----------Riquelme--------Rooney----- ---------------------Striker------------------------------ Where the striker would be either Ruud, Saha, Torres or Brazilian Ronaldo. No disrespect mate, I think that XI is quality. I would LOVE to see that. But Ronaldo? I think his best years a far behind him. Yesterday against Croatia he looked shocking. The Croat centre-half, Kovac I think, said it was easy marking him. It's sad really. Ronaldo was an icon. He WAS an icon. Now, I just feel Ronaldo is in the squad simply through reputation. It's shocking but if United were to sign him now, instead of Torres, even Jermaine Defoe, I'd be disappointed. Your team is fantastic, but I wouldn't touch Ronaldo.

To be fair mate, hes coming back form injury, bad fitness and it was the first game in the world cup, half the england squad were shocking but i wouldnt mind them in my team, terry was awful against paraguay, BUT my point is, ronaldo would come cheap, he woulndt be instead of, he would be aswell, he loves United we would revive his career hes going stale at real along with Raul and co. He still has it, you dont just lose being the best player in the world, you just dont, and his presence would be felt, also he could teach the kids we have so much, ronaldo, rooney, torres if he comes, imagine being guided not only at United but training with Rooney, Pourtugal ronaldo, Scholes, Giggs, perhaps Ruud, and the Brazilian ronaldo, mannnn the stff you would learn and for a mental factor over the opposition? He loves United, respects Fergie, the fans love him and hes younger than Sheva right? Hes only gone stale because of Real, its a curse of a club. I would cheer him on for sure and i think he would bring alot to the club. That formation is fine, except NO DIARRA FFS will people stop it hes SHIT hes complete and utter, over rates, pri madoona shit, forget him, its so annoynig how everyone thinks hes 'it' he isnt, Carrick, Mascherano even Reo Coker ANY day of the week and twice on sundays, Diarra doesnt even have passion for the club, he doesnt care, so he can fu** off.
lol just my opinion....

AGREED!... #clap# I want Ronaldo to come to OT...plus Ruud staying. Younger then Shev, if he regains his form he will be better than Sheva and could teach the youngsters so much....would come less than £10m and would thrive under the guidance of Fergie....him alongside Giggs & Scholes could win a lot in their final 3 years of top flight football together!

We wont sign diarra and Carrick, and smith and Scholes as backup for them both in defence mid wouldnt work, still the rest look great but i dont think Ruud is going, so if your looking at three behind one center forward, id replace Giggs with Torres

Van Der Sar
Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Heinze
Mascherano, Reo-Coker
Ronaldo, Riquelme, Rooney
Torres
Thats if we had about £60m to spend. In the absence of that i think we'd be very fortunate to get 2 of Mascherano, Riquelme, Reo-Coker and Torres.
