ROY KEANE is set for a sensational return to football — as manager of Sunderland.
He is being lined up if Niall Quinn completes a £58million takeover of the Championship club.
Ex-striker Quinn is heading a consortium battling to seize control at the Stadium of Light.
Quinn failed to persuade Martin O’Neill to join him on Wearside.
The ex-Celtic chief was a boyhood fan of Sunderland. But he is reluctant to take over a Championship side. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is just a quote from The Sun's site, but I have seen the back pages of a few others and atleast 2 others are saying the same thing. I think it'd be great, but am worried it may be a bit soon.

Let Keano spend some time hanging out with the family then sort out what he wants to do. I'd rather see him at United coaching the reserves so he can be groomed to manage United in the prem.
