home.skysports.com/worldcup/article.aspx?hlid=395009&CPID=4&clid=1&lid=&title=Muntari+issues+English+pleaGhana midfielder Sulley Muntari has issued a "come and get me" plea to Manchester United. The African ace had a trial at Old Trafford earlier in his career and still craves a crack at Premiership football. Although under contract at Udinese, the hard-running 21-year-old star has spoken of his determination to head for England. "I would love to play in The Premiership," he stated. "It would make me very happy. "I have been in Italy four years now and now I would like to try something else. "When I was younger I had trials at Manchester United and, if they came in for me again, it would be fantastic." Muntari's impressive showing against Italy will only help his cause of attracting Premiership scouts. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I don't know much about him although he looked ok versus Italy. What do you think of him?...as I said I know fuck all...

I'll be watching out for him in the next game Ghana play, he said he was on the brink of joining but work permits got in the way so maybe United would think about it? Im in the same boat mate, i've not seen him play either so maybe someone who knows bit more can enlighten us?

I'll keep an eye out as well as I'm not familiar with him.

I've seen him play a few times for Udinese and he's very effective. He was excellent against Barca in the champs league. He might not have the passing range of Diarra but he'd be a very physical, energetic presence in midfield. I think he plays more centrally for Udinese than Ghana so thats where he'd play for us. If Lyon keep messing around with money then he'd be a very good option to have alongside Carrick. Much better than Duschler or Makoun. Its also nice to hear a player say he'd be delighted to join us!

The Ghanian media were interviewed by SkySports about him and they say he is better than Essien, but has lacked the breaks Essien has had, i.e. big teams watching him!

It's the General Consensus that no one has seen him, so this World Cup provides the perfect opportunity for us to do that. Although it is likely Ghana will fall at the first hurdle!

He's had a cracking game. Really impressed with him. His finish for the 2nd goal was brilliant. But dont get our hopes up yet. The last African who said he wanted to play for United ended up on Chelsea's books

He looks good...scored one and been generally comfortable against a very strong Czech side all day.

The last African who said he wanted to play for United ended up on Chelsea's books Aye on that showing we should be taking him up on his call. Still, probably find out he's got an agent that's got a name that resembles a turd, and all the integrity of one as well for that matter.

Well if he continues like that I would find it hard to believe that United would turn a blind eye. He's young ,wants to play for us and wouldn't cost nearly as much as some of our other targets. Why go for Petit when you could have him for a similar price?

There's nothing better than getting a good player who REALLY wants to join UTD not just wants to play for a top English club but wants to play specificly for UTD, Heinze Park and Vidic seem like that, and they give there all for us. I think we should take a gamble on him, why not?

did he play well then lads? maybe he is allready a target for us it is a possibility as his team were in the champions league. Also like someone said he is young and looks pretty strong. im actually quite excited bout this prospect, few questions though
1) wat wud u rate him out of 10 today? 2) does he play centre midfield or on the wing where is he more effective 3) how much will he cost u reckon
thanks
