Reports today suggest that Sir Taggart is ready to make a nine million pound move for the Everton midfielder. Unconfirmed reports mind you, for the man who scored in Australia's World Cup match versus Japan.
I have it on good authority that the man can't pass for, erm, toffee and alongside former legend Phil Neville they have so little vision they could almost be registered blind. In fact, this is perhaps harsh as they may actually be able to SEE the pass they just cannot always, or ever MAKE the pass.
Is this another case of Sir Alex gettting his World Cup beer goggles on for a player.
An Everton insider source to me says "Everything Veron could not do for United, Cahill can. Unfortunately, the things that Veron could add to United, Cahill can't!. He is similar to Paul Scholes, perhaps a better tackler than him. Scholes is also a better passer of the ball, Cahill would need the right partner. He would need a big contract to leave his money at Goodison"
The news will roll and roll like MUDSA.

I Don't really rate him too highly, again are we looking for World Class or not ? I know now that we will have to except second choice always since the re-invention of Chavski, but really , c'mon there must be someone better. Not that bloody Petit either, rather have O'Shea

Not a bad player, playing in sh!t teams
Rated him at Millwall n Everton and now he's on the World stage.
Not good enough for United though

He had a good game but I don't think that merits interest in him for us. I think we need to look for better quality.

No, because this is just what a fan is suggesting there is no concrete information that we have or will go for him.
We have made two formal bids this summer for Ribery & Carrick and I'd be happy with both.
