Couldn't have happened to a more deserving player in my opinion.
The ref shouldn't be changing his mind now, Henry and Wenger (who actually saw the incident for a change) both said it was a red card so don't be backing down, it penalised arsenal, it penalised Barca too but it didn't cost them the game.

I suspect the Gooners will whinge and whine about this forever more. If they'd have won, they'd have gone on for most of next season and because they lost they blame the referee and we'll never hear the end of it. It's a no win situation for us really. Some things never change hey?

I reckon Arsenal were lucky with the decision. Why? Suppose you scythe a player down but the ball breaks to your side and they go on and score cos the ref plays advantage. Several times this season this has happened( not the scoring bit) and when the play next stops, ref goes to offender and books him. So to get booked you don't have to have the play stopped. Lehmann commits offence. Fouls player in goal scoring position - no more defenders between you and goal - red card offence - obligatory. Ball breaks, Barca score -goal. Ref goes back and sends him off. Now that would have been justice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not being funny, but Arsenal had the best end of the bargain when Lehmann was sent off - I mean, Barca didn't even get a penalty when Lehmann got sent off (I'm not saying it was inside the box, mind) - So Barca, after putting the ball in the net, find they are still at 0-0, and only have a free-kick to show for it - I would have much prefered to be given the goal, and the keeper having a yellow card.
And then Henry complains (the rest of the Arsenal players follow suit) about them getting the rough end of the ref's decisions....funny how a bad call from the ref gave them their first goal aint it?

Actually yeah, the last game he'll ever play in an arsenal shirt was ruined cos Jens Lehmann can't play fair.
That'll be Karma getting him back for his dramatic dive at Pompy a few years back...my faith in Karma is restored.

I actually felt sorry for him, only due to the fact that if it was me, in his situation, the Champions League final and to get subbed so soon would be heart breaking. But I’m not him and he isn’t me, so, IN YOUR FACE SON!

. . . it wasn´t eeeasy . . . but nothin i-i-iiizzzz . . . WHOOO HOOO . . . WHOO HOO.
Fuck off, Lehman. God I loved seeing that. The only thing wrong with the call was that he didn´t give Barsa advantage and let the play continue. Should´ve been both red card and Barsa goal. The cunts were lucky.
Did our Norwegian ref feel bad about letting himself get so blatantly fooled by Eboue´s pussy dive? That was strangely absent from the article.
Actually I did feel a tiny bit of pity for the divemaster, Pires, considering it was a twat like Lehman that ruined his biggest, final match for the cunts. Maybe the most important match of his life . . . But I got over it.
Bet the happiest man in Germany is that ridiculous git, Oliver Kahn. "Yaa, I towld ju . . . dis geezer Jens Lehman iz ah fuuckeen kunt!!!"
