Don't want him as captain now, can think of plenty of much more qualified players;
G.Neville Terry Lampard Gerrard
in fact include;
Robinson Ferdinand Owen Rooney
the only players less qualified in the first XI are Joe Cole and Ashley sausage jockey ( FOR Fuck sake Cheryll how much more evidence do you want - he is GAY!!!!!!!)

He deserves the captaincy and it'll be a proud moment for him and it should be for Manchester United fans too when he leads England out in the new Wembley. He is United born and bred, and Manchester United made him the player he is today to see one of our own walk out captain of the National side in Wembley should be a proud moment for us all.

Beckham isn't a good captain infact I reckon the only reason he is captain is because he makes england the most money so he was given it to increase revenue for the team.
He's not loud, he's not vocal, he rarely interjects when players are out of line or losing the head and he doesn't lead by example. I would even suggest Crouch as a better captain cos like him or hate him he doesn't give up which is a good quality in a captain.

He walks about trodden upon when england are losing, it takes someone else to start fighting back and then he joins in, in my opinion he hasn't put in a parficularly good england performance since the match against greece, when was that?
