From SKy Sports: Chelsea have reached an agreement with Feyenoord for the capture of Ivory Coast striker Salomon Kalou. The 20-year-old striker, who netted 42 goals in 83 starts for Feyenoord, has put pen-to-paper on a four-year contract at Stamford Bridge. "I didn’t dream of joining such a big club as early as this," Kalou said. "I’m happy and proud that I will be able to tell my children and grandchildren that I played for clubs like Chelsea and Feyenoord." Another kid throwing his career away....

Oh dear, dear me. How much did the clubs settle on, do you know? Another one to add to Chelsea’s never ending squad list.

Not bothered by this signing, nor if they sign Shevchenko. If Manchester United keep hold of Van Nistelrooy, we've got a strikeforce which boasts Van Nistelrooy, Rooney, Saha, C.Ronaldo, Rossi. Van Nistelrooy > Shevchenko Rooney > Crespo Saha > Kalou Rossi > Drogba Ronaldo > Robben

Thats not where were struggling though is it? Lampard > O'Shea Mackalele > Smith Ballack > Fletcher Essien > Fortune Just to name a few The signings of Shevchenko n Ballack are fcuking amazing but if we sign two quality Midfielders we can match their first choice Eleven a piece of piss Not bothered by this signing, nor if they sign Shevchenko. True.
But, Kalou has sadly gone and wasted his career, like SWP, Mikel, L.Diarra, etc.

When his grandchildren are old enough to give a toss Chelsea will be a side note in the history of the prem....a club that won two titles and then slowly faded away....

True. But, Kalou has sadly gone and wasted his career, like SWP, Mikel, L.Diarra, etc. Yet Kalou is 3 times the player SWP is, while costing 3 times cheaper. There's sure to be a lot less expectation of Kalou than of a player whom is English and costs 21Million pounds. Kalou is an amazing player.. But i feel United have the team to deal with players like him. We desparately need to rebuld the midfield though..
