Am i the only one who thinks this is strange? Ok.. Chelski have signed a new striker and are chasing Schev also....How many BLoOdy strikers do they need....Also its all over the press that milan are looking at RVN as a replacement for Shev... So here is my idea.... Why not go to Milan and offer them £15-20 MIL plus RVN for Schev??

Wow...novel idea it's crazy but it just might work...but here are me thinkings as to why not man:
1) Schevchenko is friends with Ambramovhic 2) Abramohvic wants Shevchenko 3) He will thus pay whatever to Milan and pick a number to Schevchenko 4) Shevchenko has a better chance of winning the champions league in Milan than at any english club so his move isn't really about football 5) Thus he will go for whoever can pay him the most. 6) Chelsea just paid 130,000 to a player who is gonna be used in a fifteen man midfield...
sad but true, Schevchenko is probably the best European striker going and I'd love him at OT but just can't see it

NO!...Ruud is better than him, I'd much rather we kept Ruud and our £20m for a midfielder!

I really wonder how much Chelsea spend on wages every week.

From Sky Sports:
Premiership champions Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Milan striker Andrei Shevchenko for a club record fee.
The Ukraine international had spent most of Wednesday discussing a move to Stamford Bridge after asking to leave Milan.
Shevchenko had enjoyed seven seasons with the Rossoneri, but asked for a transfer due to family reasons.
The Italian titans grudgingly acceded to the 29-year-old's demands and he has now agreed a four-year contract with Chelsea.
The Ukraine Football Federation had claimed that The Blues had stumped up €36 million (£24.5 million) for the fearsome hot shot, while previous reports had suggested that Chelsea would have to splash out a British record fee of £35 million to secure Shevchenko's signature.
Though Chelsea have not divulged the exact amount, the figure does eclipse the £24.4 million the club paid Lyon for Michael Essien last summer.
Shevchenko has expressed his delight at joining The Premiership's big-spenders and is happy to have his future resolved before the World Cup finals.
"I am here for the challenge and the excitement of playing in The Premier League," Shevchenko told the club's official website.
"I am going from one big club to another and joining a team of champions.
"There is a right moment to join a football club and I think I have arrived here at the perfect time.
"The Champions League has to be a realistic target for next season, but it is not just about the Champions League. Chelsea is going for their third Premiership as well and I like the club's mentality of wanting to win every game they play.
"I have followed Mr Mourinho's career carefully for the last few years and have been hugely impressed with the way he manages.
"He puts team ethic before individual expression which is the way I believe great teams are created.
"Had money been my motivation for coming, I would probably have stayed in Milan.
"I am pleased that Chelsea managed to conclude everything before the World Cup - I can go to Germany with a clear mind and proud to be a Chelsea player."
Shevchenko becomes Jose Mourinho's third capture since the end of the season, with Michael Ballack and Salomon Kalou already agreeing moves to West London.

Well, I’ve expressed my feelings on his move to Chelsea before The only good thing that comes of it, for me, is watching him play week in week out on MOTD. Although as Lou mentioned, all the pressure is on Chelsea to win every game and although she’s right, I can’t help but think they’re going to win every game. Man they’ve got some squad now. Bastard Roman billionaire.

There strikeforce will still not be better than ours. Their midfield is obviously but ours is still to be strengthened. Ruud, Rooney, Saha, & Rossi vs. Shev, Kalou and one of Crespo/Drogba because one of them will leave. Ours will shit all over theirs. Now, if only we had an equal/better midfield because our defence and 'keeper take some beating!

they've signed him now, it was inevitable , it was for a fee of around 30m, probably breaking the british transfer record price, set by United wen they bought Rio from leeds for 30m
