I think the FA should raise the the maximum number of substitutes to 6 because 5 just isn't enough
Your thoughts?

I know don't change nothing...but I would change the subs bench to 7 for CUP FINALS. Because there are possibilites of extra-time and pens. Obviously only 3 used though!

No way! 5 is probaly too many as it is. Its an 11 v 11 game. Subs were only introduced to provide cover for injuries.
Too much American influence has seen it raise to three and now five. ie having options to change tactics and systems every ten minutes like they do in Basketball, American Football.
Leave it at five, although three was plenty, I do admit it as made for a more exciting game having more options, but a line needs to be drawn.
If we let other influences continue to change the rules, next thing you know we will be having 4 quarters instead of 2 halfs, and sponsorship breaks every time there is a throw-in.

Hey leave the states out of this....lol Seriously though I don't see what the need is for 6 subs, because 5 gives any team a good amount of options...and I'm certainly NOT in favor of changing the format to quarters or having any commercials disrupt the game. If you must show them then do it at half time; the one thing that irritates me about most U.S. sports is the constant back and forth from the game to advertising time.

lol if there were more than 5 subs then it would give chelsea more room for signing more bench warmers.

7 Subs would play right into Chelsea's hands. yeah, it'll mean some of those 15 midfielders might actually see the bench at Stamford Bridge instead of practicing sprints while fetching Mourinho coffee...
