From 365:
Brazil striker Ronaldo was due back in training today despite being taken to a clinic late last night complaining of headaches and dizziness.
The 29-year-old, who suffered similar problems before the 1998 World Cup final, was taken to a clinic in Frankfurt for a check-up but was given the all-clear by medical staff.
The Real Madrid player, who looked short of fitness and form in Brazil's opening match against Croatia on Tuesday, returned to the team's training camp shortly after midnight and was back in training today.
A statement on the Brazilian football federation's website said: "Ronaldo complained that he was feeling dizzy on Wednesday and was admitted to a medical clinic for a check-up and further examinations.
"No problems were found and Ronaldo has been passed fit to continue training."
Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has insisted he will keep faith in Ronaldo for the next match against Australia and that the player needs the games after missing the last two months of Real Madrid's season with injury.
Parreira said: "Ronaldo has not been playing for the last two months and has had only two friendlies so it was natural he felt a bit heavy as it was very hot, but I'm sure he will improve as the tournament goes on.
"Ronaldo will start against Australia because he needs to gain pace, and he is a decisive player."

I knew something was up with him and I really feel sad that this legend, I have admired all my life has seemed to 'lose it'..I was there when he destroyed us on his own and got a thoroughly deserved standing ovation from us..I've alwas wanted to see him in a United shirt and I really hope he can get the 3 goals he needs to break the record!

haha ronaldo's food withdrawal symptoms!
When he lined up the other day, he looked suprisingly slim (slimmer than he has done in a while) I was thinking "he could prove alot of people wrong here" but then as the match went on he seemed to get fatter and fatter, I now think he was just holding in his paunch for the line up photo's!

I don't want to see Ronaldo end his career being ridiculed as a fat has-been. I'm glad Parreira has faith in him but it might be time to let the younger strikers take over and limit Ronaldo's playing time. I could be wrong but I don't know how much more he will improve...

I was also there during that infamous Real Madrid match and I remember that his third goal was scored right in front of me and I have always remembered that sound of the ball, not hitting, more introducing itself to the netting and 'whooshing' in gently despite the almighty whack that Ronaldo had given it. It will be remembered for the David Beckham vs Real Madrid issue but if I could have I would have stood up to applaud.
Sadly the time for him to be United quality or even perhaps Real has gone. He was a superb Barcelona striker and did very well for Madrid. Maybe he should quit if Madrid don't want him, this would save him from coming to England half the player he was. Or should that be triple the player he was?
Leg end!

Madrid have killed him, going to United would breath fresh life into him, you cant just lose it, he still has it, it just needs to be inspired out of him and it will never happen at Madrid, Chelsea will do it, in a few years they will jsut be buying stars and they wont develop etc properly and they wont end up as half the player they could have been

it almost seems like he has lost his passion for the game, which is real sad as he is a legend.

Beckhan was about to leave (for Madrid) so had most of his tongue up R Carlos arse. I have no time for Madrid and no time for Ronaldo - we've got a more exciting player in our own Ronaldo.

Its sad to see him. 10 years ago he was the best in the world. Real Madrid ruined him like they did with Zidane, Figo, Beckham and Raul.
