Well, IMO (People may have an argument with it BUT!!)
I say the fat Brazilian, our squirrel chum, I doubt i have all his records but ill give my knowledge worth lol:
Top scorer in WC history, surpassing PELE Won the WC Won golden boot at the 2002 WC with 8 goals (wow) Player of the year 96 AND 97 Most valued player or sumit Won the champs league (Scoring a hat trick at OT!)
Meh i know, im gunna find his exact records as mine may be wrong or i havent got all of them,
Here goes: FIFA World Player of the Year: 1996, 1997, 2002 European Footballer of the Year: 1997, 2002 UEFA Most Valuable Player: 1998 FIFA World Cup 2002 Golden Boot - 8 goals 2002 - Winner 1994 - Winner Copa América: 1997, 1999 UEFA Cup: 1998 Cup Winners' Cup: 1997 Dutch Cup: 1996 La Liga - Primera División champions: 2003 Intercontinental Cup: 2002 European Super Cup: 2002 Spanish Super Cup: 2003
THAT is phenominal and hes still 29, name a player in the game today, at 29 (or older in fact!) that has achieveed more? He will leave Madrid, they are going to clear players out and start fresh and I think he will revitalise his career, hes still class.
Good question mate, hope you like the answer lol!

Ye i always thought so and while I thought i knew alot of his reords I was missing ALOT good job I checked for the whole lot!
TBH at this moment in time i think hes the most successful player still playing and considering what hes achieved has been in a time where more teams offer more competition, then iw ould say hes arguably one of the best footballers to ever grace the game
