Damion Duff, one time united target is off to Spurs. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/t/tottenham_hotspur/5186380.stmI thought he was the perfect united man at one time , but he went with Kenyon to chavski. He's now 27 and at 17million a tad overpriced I reckon. I am still a big admirer of his game and style of play, I think he will have a good career at Spurs. Cant help but wonder, how good would he have been at united....? Too late now though!

He was £17mill when joining Chelsea. I think they sold him for £11 million.
He's a good striker, think he pretty much messed up his career when joining Chelsea though. Money over mind.

Where's all the money coming from I wonder? Imminent departures perhaps? Spurs have purchased a midfielder (Zakora) and striker (Berbatov) in recent months, therefore it would not be foolish to think that Carrick and Defoe are checking in for departure. What's their destination though?

Do you really want Defoe ? I'd rather Fergie went for Torres. Not that Defoe would be a dissaster or anything. In fact a spell at united could well turn him into the finished article. It's just that Torres has that special quality ( X factor, star quality, call it what you will ), I dont think Defoe has ever had that air around him.

Nope I don't want Defoe, I want Carrick and Torres. Defoe could go to the moon for what I care. Good player but I don't think he would score enough goals

What's their destination though? Spending dependant on success, they are trying to push for the champs league for the cash. Good signing if they finish the Duff deal, they have 2 strong wingers who can take people on at speed now.

Spurs are looking verygood, to be honest, I think they will push Pool and Le Arse for 3rd very strongly, I cant see Arsenal having a great season
1 - Chelsea/United 2 - Chelsea/United 3 - Pool/Spurs (hopefully the latter) 4 - Pool/Spurs 5 - Arsenal
Im not being funny, I just think Spurs are hotting up to have a cracking season but i dont think either of the 3 can quite challenge us or the chavs, Pool were lucky last year to get so close to us, as were Arsenal to pip spurs to 4th
I dont have anything against spurs, mainly becuase of their focus on having english/British players in teir squad, i respect it

They are building a pretty strong young team now.. I think Arsenal's defence is still just way too weak, and they've lost a lot of experience now through Pires and Bergkamp, Freddi will also be on the way out soon i think.
Senderos is out for first 3 months of the season now, Campbell out... Cygan to start? Lets hope so.

I just dont think Arsenal will quite get what they used to and while theyre building so if everyone else and I just dont see them being strong enough
My dream finish this season though would be
1 - United (whayyyy) 2 - Spurs 3 - Liverpool 4 - Reading 5 - Chelsea (after an injury crisis and poor form through the entire middle of the season) 6 - Arsenal
Wont ever happen but I can dream right?

Don't underestimate the pool. Don't want to spoil anyones day, But I think they will be pushing hard for a top spot. #Wa# It has to be uniteds title this year. Second spot with no midfield cohesion was amazing. If Fergie sorts out the midfield then its ours! Let the rest fight over the 2nd spot. Top spots got united written all over it #boxing#

Chelsea are asking for an injury crisis eventually tbh, buying people for huge amounts of money around the age of 30... looks like they are losing some cover now as well through Duff.
