Taking away the wish to laugh at another Scouse so near so far moment , legally voiding the league would throw up less of a headache from a legal stance than a pick and mix approach.

That's what I'm saying. The only fair way to go about it is to cancel everything and keep things as they are. Especially with a risk of a second wave should things be relaxed too early.

I hate the idea of the scousers winning the title but this isn't even about that anymore. It's beyond that, it's about personal safety and ensuring when the season does start it does so at the right time. Playing behind doors won't resolve it because you still have players making contact.

I think the ramifications of starting it too early outweigh those of cancelling it altogether in my opinion. Clubs will lose out on money granted but some things are more important, health being one of them.

Cheek of it is the Premier League has a billion and a half in the bank at last count. Cancel the season, err on the side of safety, and get a financial support package in place ASAP.

I think it’ll get cancelled eventually, and rightly so. The pressure to end the season will become immense as more and more other countries act accordingly.

But they won’t go quietly. For money purposes and because they want the scouse to win. I’d put dough on them inventing a new title and trophy they can bestow upon Liverpool this season. Interim Premier League Champions or some shit.

But fuck our Champions League chances, couldn’t care less. It’s not safe to restart the season, and to be honest it’s probably not even safe to have football next season.
