Mate, I reiterate, Tuchel and Wilmots both savaged him calling his attitude shit. What more are you looking for as proof ? What you and I personally think is immaterial. Here's two coaches who both think he's a prat. That's all that matters. Also, that Moyes clusterfuck of a season wasn't a giant step. The team performances were pathetic. So pathetic, that when Januzaj scored 2 goals against Sunderland (SUNDERLAND!!) it was hailed as the second coming. That's not breakthrough. Rashford banging in 2 against Arse, 1 against City , 2 in the Champions League, 1 in his England debut. Thats breakthrough. Martial scoring 10 minutes into his debut against the scum, that's breakthrough. The lazy and attitude tags will come unstuck when you put your head down and let your work do the talking. Complaining about it gets you nothing. Well we'll see if Rashford is as brilliant this season as backup. Young players play with momentum. He will probably lose his later in the season. Second season syndrome is real. His loan to Dortmund was ridiculous. Even if he requested that you don't send him to a better team than he can't get into to fight for a place against Mikitayran. You send him on loan to Sunderland. You've basically given Januzaj a ready-made excuse for not putting in the graft and effort . "How can I complete against Mkhitaryan?" - so I won't bother trying. By that logic, he won't try to win his place in a team with Zlatan, Mkhitaryan, Martial, Pogba, Mata. If he won't bother trying, what's the point ? This is what is a shit attitude. Young players will almost never get in the team above the established players on talent alone. Not unless you're a Messi , Iniesta or Ronaldo level talent. And even they had to compete against Ronaldinho, Deco, Beckham and Nistelrooy. Young players have to always keep working no matter what. Its about earning your stripes. You never ever stop trying , you never stop being humble. If Rashford has to sit on the side for a bit then he has to . Doesn't mean he sulks like a prat about it. Rashford won't , from the looks of it. I see an eagerness in him the likes of which is amazing to see.

I really don't think we can argue about adnan, lad has no excuses all things considered. I really think people underestimate the importance of being mentally tough and having a solid attitude to become one of the best. arrogance should only be a factor when you are delivering season after season. messi, Ronaldo, ibra, scholes, gigs, terry (yes even him), rio, keane, zidane, bale just a few names of players that are or were at the top of their game, talent alone is not enough (Morrison, quaresma to name a few) you need to combine talent with hardwork and a good attititude to listening to your coaches.

I can't mentally let Adnan go yet. Send him out on loan this season to get his head right and prove he still has the ability he showed in the reserves and at times in his debut season. If he can't make something of his loan move then it's time to move him on. He was sent on loan to one of the best teams in the world Dortmund under a superb coach who didn't want him and didn't give him any game time except as a very late sub when the matches were already won. He fucked it up. He couldn't be arsed to work himself to improve while sitting on the bench. I think he's too far gone. We tried holding on with Ravel, didn't work. When your head isn't on right, nothing will improve. FTFY. This is revisionist or ret-con thinking. Dortmund gave Januzaj 6 appearances, as a sub. Then they said he wouldn't feature in the 2nd half of the season. While playing for LVG, Januzaj scored the only goal in the win over Aston Villa, after having played over 60 matches for the senior side. LVG fucked him off to Dortmund, where he was not wanted and not used. He has had hamstring problems on his return in January. And what was the damning indictment issued by Tuchel? "My feeling was that he never was completely with us, that a part of him always stayed in Manchester and he compared everything here with United. We were not able to help him to shake that off." People are so eager to stick the boot in on Januzaj and I just don't get it. But it's common enough on this forum for people to just take a United player and make him the whipping boy or pinata for whatever reasons. There are some players I want sold, like Fellaini, and I don't want them to play for us again but I don't hate the player. I think 20 years old is still so very young and holding Januzaj to some unwritten code of conduct is lame.

If you want to kid yourself about him , go right ahead nobody is stopping you. Mourinho, van Gaal , Tuchel and Wilmots. 4 coaches who thought he wasn't talented enough or hard working enough to have him around. I've said my piece on him several times, not going to repeat myself. What will be will be.

I do have some sympathy for Januzaj. Just like Pogba he clearly wants to play and show the world what he can do and he can only do that with regular games. He is not the only exciting winger to suffer under Van Gaal and his constraining tactics and you can hardly blame him for doubting he'd get any more chances in his second season under the Dutchman.
The Dortmund loan move was ill advised but Manchester United and Dortmund also deserve the blame for their role in a loan move that wasn't in anyone's interest (except to the extent we shifted some of his wage bill from our books). Then Jose rolls up and says he is not part of his plans. So you can understand why the kid is a bit miffed and is trying to line up a permanent move away. His behaviour has been unprofessional and he needs to grow up but he is only 20.
I really hope the Sunderland loan works out for him. Hopefully Mourinho can be the bigger man and convince him to return next season to fill the right wing spot, moving Miki to the number 10 stop, and Rooney to China.

However, you are completely undermining your defence of him by making things up.

However, you are completely undermining your defence of him by making things up. Educate me, then. I pulled the quote from Tuchel from an article on him saying why Januzaj didn't work out. He played over 60 first team matches for us. In the start of that season he played well, including the 1-0 over Villa. Dortmund didn't want him. LVG didn't want him. When he returned from loan, he had hamstring troubles. I think he's been treated shoddily, and I also think we treated Bastian and Romero shoddily. Those are my opinions. But if I have made up any facts, show me where I have erred. Thanks.

In November, United manager Louis van Gaal revealed he wanted Januzaj to stay at the club and claimed the winger had taken a "big risk" by leaving for Dortmund.
"At a club like Borussia Dortmund, all the players are also of a certain level," Van Gaal said.
"I said in advance that's a big risk, because you have to compete with other players of a higher level and that's not so easy.
"It's the same as at Manchester United. He has to compete with higher-level players. I want him to play all the matches, and that's why I wanted to play him in the Premier League, but he chose Borussia Dortmund.

Van Gaal didn't 'fuck him off to Dortmund' He knew he'd have virtually no chance of breaking into their team given the strength of the positions in which Adnan plays. Their 3 behind Auba was up there with all the top teams in Europe. Adnan demanded the move. That was pretty common knowledge at the time. So you're either only hearing this now or leaving it out to suit your agenda.
Either way, that's you educated on the matter. As you wished.

So you really think Januzaj would have gotten a lot of game time under LVG, do you? I don't. Januzaj didn't either. Game time like Powell, or Pereira, or Varela, or Love? Nope.

His point was that both United and Dortmund would have struggled to justify giving him plenty of game time. Louis wanted him to go to a lower PL club which would guarantee him a lot more game time

No I don't but that's totally irrelevant to this conversation. You claimed Van Gaal 'fucked him off to Dortmund' when it was completely not the case.
