Argentina lead after open, entertaining first half.
HALF-TIME: At the break Argentina lead 2-0, although Ivory Coast should not be embarrased by this performance as they have played equally as good, the only difference being is that Argentina scored their opportunities, including one that was incorrectly disallowed. Roberto Ayala is everywhere and alongside Gabriel Heinzé has frustrated the Ivory Coast attacking line which includes Chelsea's Didier Drogba. Yaya Touré and Didier Zokora have looked good for the African side, but the man of the half for me is Riquelmé. Juan Roman Riquelmé, a United transfer target, has controlled the game from the middle of the park. He has controlled the tempo and had two superb assists, he has the freedom which his talents deserve and Cambiasso and Mascherano are providing superb protection for him. I'm looking forward to the second half as this has been the most entertaining game of the tournament so far, and I've watched all 5....GET IN! lol!
SCORE: Argentina 2-0 Ivory Coast

The entire Argie midfield has made the difference in that half, good protection for the defence and good going forward.

Phenomenal pass completion, it just goes to show how important he is to Argentina.

Argentina think they wrap the points up with a third, but it was disallowed.
GOAL DISALLOWED: - 85 mins Substitute Gonzales with the tap in thought he had made it three on 85 minutes only for him to look up and see the linesman with his flag up.
