Poland down to ten
SENT OFF: SOBOLEWSKI - 75 mins Just as Poland were coming back into the game, Sobolewski who was already on a booking body checked Klosé and deserved to be sent off. Do you think someone in Poland maybe getting the David Beckham treatment of '98 if Germany score to knock out the Poles!?
SCORE: GERMANY 0-0 POLAND

Ha ha! That game was POOR, until Poland had a man sent off, then Germany stepped on the gas. They had so many chances to finish the game off. I’d say I feel sorry for Poland, but I’d be lying.
Now unless Costa Rica beat Ecuador, they’re out.

Heartbreak for Poland, ecstacy for the Germans.
FULL TIME: Germany are through and Poland out unless Costa Rica beat Ecuador. Ballack, the new Chelsea signing, was unimpressive tonight. But, ze Germans did deserve their victory. Attacking the Poles for a full 90 minutes and when Poland went down to ten-men it seemed their World Cup hopes were over but they held on. The Polish fans were singing, until the 92nd minute. Heartbreak hit when the ball was hit in and Neuville was lurking in the centre to break the hearts of the Polish nation and send the Germans into raptures.
This World Cup is the best I've witnessed (I've witness France '98, Japan/Korea 2002 and this, I was 5 at USA '94 and 1 in 1990) and it's still in the group stages. We've had controversy, shocks, last minute goals, sending offs, heartbreak and the 2nd games of the group stage are yet to start.
MAN OF THE MATCH: BAK (POL) Excellent defending for all but one minute, he kept his side in this game.
MOAN OF THE MATCH: DIVING - Ballack was the biggest culprit. I thought the referee's were going to sort it but I suppose not!
PREDICTION: Right result, wrong scoreline! (AGAIN!)
SCORE: Germany 1-0 Poland
