Watching The Wild One (1954). Marlon Brando and Lee Marvin, then it will be Hard Rain (1998) with Morgan Freeman and Randy Quaid at 2100.

I finished watching Star Trek: TNG last night - the final episode was one of the two best out of the lot (the other being the borg 2 parter where JLP becomes borg) - something that the MD of my company agrees with my (I was shocked).
Quite looking forward to watching SuperGirl when that's out

Was watching TNG - 'Descent' part one and two yesterday. Data's brother kidnapped Data. Lore has discovered a way to give Data emotions and turned him against the Federation. Lore plans to lead these breakaway Borg to destroy all organic life; they believe that Lore and Data are perfect life forms. Picard, Troi, and La Forge are taken captive. Geordi's VISOR allows him to see a carrier wave being beamed from Lore to Data and they hypothesize that this is the source of Data's emotions and Lore's control over Data. For this reason Lore orders Geordi's VISOR removed.... "The Best of Both Worlds" is one of the best (Ser74Ep26 June 1990 & Ser75Ep1 September 1990) it is considered one of the most popular of all the TNG episodes. In this story, the Enterprise must battle the Borg who are intent on conquering Earth, with a captured and assimilated Captain Picard as their emissary.

the line in best of both worlds "Dispatch a subspace message to Admiral Hanson, we have engaged the borg" at the end of the first ep is epic

it was a shame there wasn't more borg in the series. I had also heard that the show was supposed to be 8 season's long but they cut it short for the films... which the cast was not happy about.

Picard never ages. Or in fact aged way too young and then kind of stayed that way.

Picard never ages. Or in fact aged way too young and then kind of stayed that way. My daughter bought me the DVD Film Nemesis (2002), brilliant film but the end bit made me sad and then happy because Data is one of my favourite characters in TNG. Refusing to surrender, Picard uses his heavily damaged ship to ram the Scimitar, causing moderate damage including disabling the Scimitar's disrupter banks and destroying the Scimitar's shuttlebay. Shinzon then initializes the Scimitar's thalaron weapon in a desperate attempt to take the Enterprise down with him. Picard boards the vessel alone and faces Shinzon. Unable to prevent the weapon's activation, Picard kills Shinzon by impaling him through the abdomen with part of a metallic support strut. Data arrives with a single-use personal transporter, using it to quickly beam the Captain back to the Enterprise before firing his phaser at the thalaron generator and destroying the ship at the cost of his life.
While the severely damaged Enterprise is under repair in a space dock in Earth orbit, Picard bids farewell to newly promoted Captain Riker who is off to command the USS Titan, to begin a true peace-negotiation mission with Romulus. Picard then meets with android B-4, whereupon he discovers that Data had succeeded in copying the engrams of his neural net into B-4's positronic matrix not long before his death. Picard then walks down the Enterprise corridor smiling with knowledge that one day Data will return.

Although the cast members were contracted for eight seasons, Paramount ended The Next Generation after seven, which disappointed and puzzled some of the actors, and was an unusual decision for a successful television show. Although doing so let the studio begin making films using the cast, which it believed would be less successful if the show were still on televisionen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_The_Next_Generation

No offence but I bloody hate Carlton (don't mind the beer though). When it comes to AFL it has to be the old Yellow and Black!
