Decent little found footage horror called Crybaby Bridge - acting wasn't great but the story was good and some nice cinematography in places

Watched the entire series Manhattan. It's about making the atomic bomb but barely blends in with historical facts. Not the best of TV series.

I got half way through the first episode and jacked it in Probably a wise decision but I have little choice at the moment. German TV is like the 1970s with variety shows, sprinkled with Coronation Street like soaps. Fargo was good but Manhattan turned into a sleazy tale of suspicion about espionage and scientists dishing on each other. When not dishing each other the female soldiers ply their trade as prostitutes, the guards shoot innocent mathematicians, the scientists' wive have affairs, and the scientists live in perpetual mind games. It became more and more ridiculous. There was one episode when the British were portrayed as poor sex starved buffoons - so stereotypical that I laughed. Without the British research from the late 1920s which led the world in nuclear science, the American project could not have been completed successfully. The series bears no comparison with the facts.

No worries, you defo should not try www.yify.tv for movies though, the thieving gits have loads of new movies in good quality, I find it abhorrent, but if they put it up, people will watch it

Has anyone watched a film called The Cube? Started watching it late last night in the horror channel and it was bloody weird. Five men & two women locked in cube shaped rooms and had to find their way out. Strange ending.

I was on this laptop watching it at the same time and then switched the laptop off and started watching it in earnest. I will have to watch it again without no distraction. Still a bit confusing for me. For some reason I kept thinking of that old TV Series The Prisoner (1967) with Patrick McGoohan as Prisoner Number six.

I've got The Prisoner in the list of stuff to watch I met McGoohan a couple of times when I was a kid - there are a few studios round here past and present (Elstree, Borehamwood etc) and he used to stop off at the (Olde English style) coffee shop in my village after filming (Danger Man IIRC) on his way to a house he rented in Bucks - he got talking to my old man (typical Irish pisshead ) so it became a fairly regular Saturday afternoon thing and I was with my dad a couple of times - must have been summer when I wasn't playing football McGoohan may have been born in America but it turned out his line came from a fishing village just up the coast from my dad's village in Co Donegal The coffee shop is now a Bangla restaurant

Some of those old shows years back run rings around TV shows nowadays.

Yup - been watching a lot of stuff from the 60s and 70s over the last few months - some is very dated and cheesy now but a lot of it stands up very well 40 or 50 years on ... and no one had even heard of "reality" TV back then
