Watching a film which reminds me of ME this morning. Woke up thinking it was Saturday and I had a dream that we beat Sunderland 2-0. Watching Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. My first thought was Tootsie I did like Murray in his comedy roles - hated the bird in this film though (Andie McDowell IIRC) - always thought she was a bit creepy and vacant for some reason Just about to watch a couple of docs and then carry on with the Trek Film coming on now called 100 Million BC on the Syfy +1 channel. Can't say I have seen this before. Read the plot on Google and something about Navy Seals going back in time on a rescue mission? Have you or anyone seen it before? Let me know if its any good otherwise I will watch something else.

A scientist from the failed Philadelphia Experiment leads a team of Navy SEALs back in time to the Cretaceous Period to rescue the first team he sent back during the 1940s. Things go wildly awry though, when on his return he accidentally brings a giant, man-eating dinosaur back through the portal and into modern-day, downtown Los Angeles. The first part sounds familiar but not the second part - possibly one of those rare films where I've actually turned off I normally watch a bad film all the way through so I'm not tempted to watch it again - rated 2.4 on IMDB

I loved the bits in Groundhog Day when he ended up in nick, then woke up again the next morning. Then twice smashing his radio alarm then dressing up as Clint Eastwood then going over the cliff in the pick-up........then waking up again at 06.00.

Watched a good SciFi a couple of weeks ago called 12:01 where baddie scientist illegally runs a particle accelerator and the day repeats for our hero after a "time bounce" - actually has a few good twists www.imdb.com/title/tt0106188/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1Some romance and comedy too and that actually works too (for a change) This docudrama is actually pretty good - Cross Groundhog Day with The Day After Tomorrow/Armageddon/The Stand/Supervolcano and you get each part as a result - could have had more cash thrown at it but the science is pretty sound and the effects are not bad (part 1)

Just bought that on DVD for 25p. Another good film by S L Jackson I have saved is The Long Kiss Goodnight. Looking forward to seeing Jackson in the upcoming Cell (from a King book) although the character he's playing is a short, white guy with glasses and a moustache (think Ned Flanders) in the book John Cusack also stars (same combo as 1408) According to a mod on the Stephen King message board "Steve says the distributors are throwing a lot of cash at it and will get a wide release" \0/

FFS lol. Just looked at the tv listings. Guess what they are showing on the horror +1 channel? Batman (1966). Had a quick flick over and looked. Its a film I seen in aussie land at the cinema in the late 60's. How the fuck can that be classed as a horror.

Now watching one of the originally banned by the BBC episodes "Miri" (banned because a young mid-teen girl has a crush on Kirk) - the irony being that the rest of the series was shown on the BBC while half their DJs were tupping kids half her age

Nothing much on so I am watching (half asleep) The Forgotten City of the Planet of the Apes. You guessed it, on the horror +1 channel lol.

LOL - We saw a lot of stuff in the 80s that was 2 or 3 episodes of a 70s series patched together into a TV movie - happened a lot with Space 1999 and UFO It's about time I watched the old Apes films again "Take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape!"
