The BBC have double standards even now. Nothing much on so I am watching (half asleep) The Forgotten City of the Planet of the Apes. You guessed it, on the horror +1 channel lol. LOL - We saw a lot of stuff in the 80s that was 2 or 3 episodes of a 70s series patched together into a TV movie - happened a lot with Space 1999 and UFO It's about time I watched the old Apes films again "Take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape!" I watched this one around our daughters last year when we were baby sitting. A cracker of a film and I bloody enjoyed it.

Can't quite make out the poster with my gimpy old eyes - is that the one with Marky Mark and Tim Roth? Pretty good but not a patch on the original but it did have a very nice twist at the end

Finally got round to watching 'The theory of everything' last night, Excellent film, and a cracking performance by Eddie. A lot of funny light-hearted moments in it, in one scene he has a box on his head not long after he gets his american computer voice, and rolls around in his chair saying 'exterminate' Dalek style

Yet another doc on the JFK assassination - this one concludes that the kill shot came from a Secret Service guy by accident in the car following the President and that Oswald only fired 2 shots (many other docs have shown it was virtually impossible for Oswald to have got 3 shots off in 5.6 seconds and only one man has done it since .. on his 3rd attempt) Most docs clearly show the Zapruder film in slow motion and it's clear the kill shot came from the front (you can actually see the impact at the front of Kennedy's head and the flap of skull coming away at the back and Kennedy is also thrown backwards) so the latest "theory" is bullshit Certainly there was a cover-up though whatever happened

Spacey is the man. its a good reflection of how impotent the president actually is in the 2-party system. seems impossible to get anything done when the 2 parties each have the power to hold things up, and never agree with each other

Just caught up on season 3 of Banshee. It really is good stuff, and would recommend it to anyone. Some brutal stuff in it,and one scene I just watched rivals, probably even beats gustavo's death scene in Breaking Bad

Checked it out because i love the main guy. He was in a Kiwi show called Ourageous Fortune. He played a set of twins who were completely different. Brilliant actor.

I had no idea, but yeah he's a quality actor. You should really give it a shot, the first season is pretty good, but after that it goes into overdrive

That character there (Van) is one of my faves in tv. Wish i could find some of him and his mate talking shit.

Good doc about the Trojan Horse (no, not UK schools) - trying to prove that the story of the Trojan Horse was true, possible or just a metaphor
