Back on the Trek - 23rd episode of 80 - Space Seed (the first appearance of Khan) Watching an episode of Warehouse 13 then two episodes of the Star Trek series, Voyager and then The Next Generation. That will keep me happy for a couple of hours. Watched S1 of W13 a few months ago and have the rest lined up to watch at some point - certainly a lot of top totty in that

Think I will have to look up the whole series and start watching it from E1 and get the jist of it.

Nothing much else on now so I am watching and episode of Quantum Leap. Just realized also that Dr Sam Becket (Scott Bakula) was Captain Jonathan Archer in the last of the Star Trek series Enterprise (2001/2005). Thought his face looked familiar.

I've just been eating my chili (very nice thank you ) and was flicking through all the channels and 99% were games shows for morons, "reality" TV and 70s comedy (even on BBC2 FFS!) - did see QL but hit the remote when there was something about "going into the light" - planning to re-watch them all at some point and didn't need a spoiler - not actually seen any episodes in full since they were first broadcast here (late 80s?) Only good thing I did see was the Dave Mackay tribute on SSN

Started off with the first Star Trek and Captain Kirk, then followed on with Captain Picard then they made the last series with Captain Archer but the series centred around before Kirk & Picard appeared, back in time really and I think thats why the last series was a flop. You think they would just follow on from Picard like Picard followed on from Kirk. TBH I have only just started to watch the Captain Archer series as when it first came out in 2001 and I seen the first 3 episodes I just could not get into it because of that series going back in time before Enterprise, Kirk & Picard.

I saw one episode of Enterprise and the technology looked to be better than TOS and it was supposed to be a prequel Agree it would have been nice for Picard to have passed the Enterprise onto another captain

Watching an episode of Tales from the Darkside. Watched these episodes years ago. I missed the credits going up at the beginning and who penned it when it started but looking at it and checking Google it looks like this episode, it rings a bell. Episode 10 Djinn, No Chaser - A comedic story in which a couple finds a lamp which turns out to hold a genie, who is extremely annoyed at being trapped for thousands of years. He punishes them with plagues and problems, but the wife offers a simple solution to his problem.
Based on a story by Harlan Ellison and adapted by Haskell Barkin and guest-starring Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the genie.

Written by the guy who did a lot of the old Trek episodes TBH there was too much comedy injected into horror in those days (and it's continued) - on a par with Monsters and Freddy's Nightmares which were around at the same time (as well as the Creepshow films)

Part 1 of a 4 part episode. Had too check Google though and read the plot lol. Its when he meets a blind girl in the forest and a meteor hits the ground. Thats when I checked Google because I remember the meteor bit.

Talking of meteors (or more correctly asteroids) I watched a doc on the Chelyabinsk event of a couple of years ago this morning - very interesting and shows how little warning (if any) we'd get of another such event - they do track thousands of potential events like this every year but to quote Billy Bob "Begging your pardon Mr President, but it's a big assed sky" This one apparently came in with the sun behind it and was practically invisible

So many different classifications what is zooming around in Space and I love any documentary on such or even reading. A meteoroid is a small rocky or metallic body travelling through space. Meteoroids are significantly smaller than asteroids, and range in size from small grains to 1 meter-wide objects. Smaller objects than this are classified as micrometeoroids or space dust. Most are fragments from comets or asteroids, while others are collision impact debris ejected from bodies such as the Moon or Mars.
