One of the most gory films I've ever seen. It's as disgusting as any of the saw films.
It's good though. It's sick, twisted and Jumpy. The story starts with the birth of leather face. The scene is basically a woman working in a meat house who starts to scream. Then she urinates, and finally gives birth to ugliest dam baby you'll ever see which just hits the ground.
The Baby is left for dead in a Bin and later rescued by the Hewitt family.
Loosely based on the life of Ed Gein the story gives you a brief idea of what life was like as a kid with a face for radio. The bullying and eventual psychological damage it has on him.
Then it cuts to 1969 and two brothers and their Girlfriends embark on a drive across America to enlist in the Army for the Vietnam war. The film is a lot like the 2003 film with a group crossing the country and falling victim to the Cannibals, that could only possible live in America.
One thing that's annoying is that it is set in 1969 yet the 4 victims all have hairstyle's and talk as if it were 2007 and it looses that realism.
None the less they find themselves being abducted by the Sheriff Winston Hoyt or the Sargent from Full metal jacket as most know him. How he becomes the sheriff is another story. He soon kidnaps them starting the brutal massacre, with chainsaws.
Overall this film is a humorless, very gritty and gory slash film and a pretty good one too.

It's hard to say. The idea that their are freaks in america out there in those hick downs kind of freaks me out, there is a feeling of being helpless and that makes you feel abit uncomfortable but it's mainly gore, with a few jumpy moment one big one at the end that I saw comming but still scared me.
What sort of films do you find scary?

The Saw films scare me. I remember being like 13 and watching Scream and being absolutely fucking terrified lol. The original Texas Chainsaw was pretty funny, the modern remake didnt scare me much either.

I thought Saw was great, that was really scary but just a good film, the second was good too. I watched the third and didn't think much of it, apart from nearly making me vomit, it just wasn't that good or clever like the others. Have you seen it? The Hills have eyes remake, I thought was scary, and jumpy and what happens was just unexpected. The descent I thought was quite jumpy and scary aswell.

I've been too much of a pussy to see the 3rd, if I'm honest. I really liked 1 and 2, and totally agree, as well as being scary and sicko, they were just good. Interesting. Like, you just wanted to watch them. But all the ads built up the 3rd to be even worse, and I dunno, maybe it's my old age or something but I'm 2 parts lazy to 3 parts terrified lol. I should just get it out and get it over and done with because I know I'm going to watch it at some point. Does it link in well with the others? Because I fucking LOVED the way Saw II right at the end linked back to the first, just when you thought the first one was all forgotten about.

Because I fucking LOVED the way Saw II right at the end linked back to the first, just when you thought the first one was all forgotten about. I've had it downloaded for AGES but Sarah won't watch it. She's gotten better with the horor films but she wouldn't watch saw because my sister told her she threw up watching the first one So I finally got the nerve to watch it by myself ... Thing the first one was great, the dialog with teh 2 guys trapped and the feeling of "what the hell's going on here" The second one was good because your in like a maze of fucked up shit and its jumpy the needles bit is the worst thing I could ever imagine. And like you said the revelation bit at the end with te music and the way it ties in was cool. The 3rd one though, it get's about 1 minute in and I wanted to be sick. And it doesn't stop there, at one point you watch an operation where jidsaws skull is cut open using a drill (like black and decker) and a saw. The story is ok'ish and their is the revelation at the end that ties it all in but not as good.

See I've seen a clip for the third when that guy has all those chains in him and he has to pull em out. Sick.
Yeh the needles in the 2nd one. Fuck me. It makes me want to roll up in to a ball and rock when I think of it lol. Fuckin horrendous. Great though at the beginning innit, with that lass, and you're like "Hmm, which film have I seen her in before?" and she goes "Shit, I know who is doing this, because it's happened to me before." ;D

Yeah good film. I'm watching a film now called ballad of a gunfighter, I picked it up cheap thinking it's a Coppella film (the godfather) it must be good, turns out it's directed by Chris copella his dim-witted relative.

I can't remember the last time I was scared after seeing a horror movie....I think it Poltergeist might have been it because it gave me the creeps for days, oh and The Exorcist of course.

I've seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre, seen saw 1 and 2, but never got around to seeing the 3rd one, Have the Exorcist and the Omen triolgy on DVD as they're amongst my favourite films, never watched the new Omen film though. I love horror films, I just don't get scared or anything watching them
