I don't give a fuck. Hatton's a respectable boxer, fair enough but him being English doesn't mean I don't want Mayweather to beat him.
Mayweather is my favourite current boxer and I want him to win the fight, it'll be a great one though. Possibility of being the best fight in recent memory since the first Morales v Barrera.

If The Beatles came on on the radio and people listend to it, I wouldn't cover my ears. But I wouldn't sing any chants to their songs (like Sunderland's Keano song).
And how is supporting Mayweather over Hatton pathetic, in the sense that it's all down to him being a City supporter? I think it's logical. You get a lot of people with false hate towards the Scousers on here. I bet if Hatton was Scouse he'd be hated on here, falsely or not.

"What does it matter who he supports? " Don't flatter the matter at hand. Maybe it's a local thing. Local as in Manchester. Us Reds all hate that overrated gobshite, or the ones I know, anyway. Mayweather for the win. My boss is going over there with 2 mates. Gambling and all that before and after the match. i love all that 'local as in manchester',how patronising can u be?Hattons a top bloke, and i like him for his boxing, why should i dislike him cos he supports shitty?Noel Gallagher is a big city fan but hes a legend,am i not supposed to like him or oasis aswel? They represent manchester and im proud of that,as a lot of people are,so dont think because you and some of ur mates from salford hate him, dont think thats the general opinion. Reading some of ur comments i think ur head needs to come out of ur arse sometimes, for instance i've been brought up to dislike liverpudlians, yet i find cockneys more irritating by far, does that make me less of a united fan than you?

Just wondering - do any of you have season tickets? to make this relevant to the boxing match, I think you'll always have people who are extremely provincial and take things the the Nth degree. If you don't like Hatton because he supports Citeh then that's your prerogative, but to slate other because they're focused on the boxing aspect and not the football ties is a bit over the top. Supporting your club shouldn't make you completely one dimensional because there are other things outside of football, and being a season ticket holder means you can afford the price of admission and in no way guarantees how vocal or passionate a person might be. How do you reconcile Rooney being a scouser? Hatton gets my support because he seems nice enough and not obnoxious like Mayweather.

Mayweather is a COCK like mentionned above! The guy needs a good battering and needs to be humiliated. And Hatton is the one who will kick sense into his pea sized brain!

Ricky's my bitch Published: Today FLOYD MAYWEATHER has labelled Ricky Hatton his ‘Prison Bitch’ as he took his trash talk to a new low.
The five-weight champion puts his WBC and WBA welterweight belts on the line against Hatton when they fight at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas on December 8.
Mayweather has been trying to rattle Hatton ever since they went on their worldwide promotional tour back in September.
And his outrageous outburst, made when the cameras had stopped rolling, shocked but did not unsettle the Manchester Hitman.
When the unbeaten pair were in Los Angeles Mayweather snarled before threatening to bust Hatton’s jaw: “I wish I was in prison with you. I’d make you my bitch.”
Hatton said: “What Floyd doesn’t know is that I don’t get insulted. But he was very offensive. He told me he wanted to buttf*** me.
"Trust me, it was the biggest load of nonsense and crap that I could ever wish to hear — but he needs to came out with all that rubbish.
“It’s just mind games with him. I just think he is very, very insecure. He tried to get under my skin but he can’t.
“Another time, he was saying all kinds of other stuff and I was hitting him back with slick one- liners. When he realised he couldn’t annoy me, he walked to his car screaming ‘F***, f***’.
Respect
“A small part of me feels sorry for him because I don’t think he has ever had stability in his life.
“It’s one thing saying stuff to sell tickets but the same old s***e comes out of his mouth 24/7.
“He has given me no respect. Maybe when he is alone he does but I have not seen it.
“All he has around him is yes men telling him what he wants to hear, shouting ‘You’re da man! You’re da man!’
“No sooner had Floyd got out of the pram than he was boxing. He has never really had a proper upbringing, a childhood.
“It’s been boxing, boxing, boxing and that’s probably why he is like he is.
“He’s never had stability. He reminds me of what happens in those reality TV shows. It’s all put on for the cameras . . . it’s bulls**t.
“How many watches can you buy? How many flash suits can you wear? How many big cars can you drive?
“I’ve never said anything other than he is the best pound for pound fighter in the planet.
“But then again I think that Floyd fights like his life . . . it’s all show and not enough substance.”
Hatton shrugs off Mayweather’s foul-mouthed attacks and insists they are just another attempt to put one over his rival before the big fight.
Hatton, who has stepped up from light-welterweight for the second time to face Mayweather, said: “During the Press tour I’ve had to suffer through his rants.
“He’s ridiculed me and aggravated me but I just laugh it off because it’s nothing but talk and I understand that. He’s trying to get under my skin.
“He tries to wind you up so you get charged up before the fight and that gets you to expend energy.
“It drains you in the fight because you want to knock his head off. Then after you’re frustrated he ups his own game. It’s all games.”
As a kid, Mayweather shared a room with seven members of his family in Grand Rapids Michigan and boxing gave him a way out.
Like Hatton, Mayweather, who owns property worth over £20million, has yet to taste defeat and has built his own business empire which includes a record label aptly named Philthy Rich.
He is well aware of the problems Hatton has had with cuts and keeping his weight under control, although at a check weigh-in earlier this week, the Hitman was three pounds UNDER the 10st 7lb limit.
Yank Mayweather said: “I have fought my whole life just to pull my mother and family out of the ghetto.
“I came into this sport to be the best ever and have given my whole life to prove there isn’t another fighter better than me.
“People like Hatton are C class fighters compared to me but I make them look a class lower — D Class.
“Hatton is exciting for what he does and that ain’t much. He dishes it out and takes it — but I don’t have to because I am the president of the sport.
“I look at Hatton and I see scar tissue and fat. Ricky should not let his weight get up like it does.
“We all know how he will fight. It will be like taking candy from a baby for me and I will punish him.”

Was just about to post that. Gotta love him, "a new low".. a bit of an over exaggeration. I can't wait for the fight, I respect Hatton but am supporting Mayweather all the way. If Hatton wins fair play but I think Mayweather will do him and this was just hilarious. His ''prison bitch'' ;D

He is such a dick though how can you be backing him. I like the way he fights, he's a great boxer, but his "cash money yo gettho" crap just irritates the shit out of me.
