He is such a dick though how can you be backing him. I like the way he fights, he's a great boxer, but his "cash money yo gettho" crap just irritates the shit out of me. Amen. I respect his ability as a boxer but cannot respect a man who has none for others. All of his antics are so over the top I can't be bothered watching, for me he represents all that is wrong with American sports personalities especially the ones that have adopted that "I came from the ghetto and wealth means spending money of rubbish" mentality. I agree with Hatton's assessment because any fighter who is confident in their abilities doesn't need to trash talk to give himself an edge. I think at some point he'll look at all that he's done and realize that what makes a boxer great isn't just the matches that he wins but the self respect he has in how he conducts himself and in this area Mayweather is worse than a sideshow clown. Hatton gets my vote because I'm tired of seeing these classless, egomaniacal, deluded half wits being the image of "success". |

Its really amused me so much as to how this fight is being built up. You'd think you were watching WWE, as Mayweather is building himself up as such a bad guy in all this, and Ricky Hatton is coming out of it as the working class hero. I've been looking forward to this fight for about 4 years, and because of all the build up, its making my mouth water even more!!

Mayweather is such a cocky prick. I hope Hatton can beat him and hopefully by a proper knockout, that might bring Mayweather down a peg or two but i doubt it. Even if Hatton does win i imagine Mayweather will come out with some sort of excuse for losing.

I love his mouthy behaviour, his press conferences, his boxing and he IS the best pound for pound boxer in the world at the moment. Ricky Hatton has arrived in Las Vegas.
The Hitman touched down in the Nevada desert overnight on Thursday to acclimatise for his showdown with Floyd Mayweather on December 8th.
Undefeated is still more than a fortnight away and this is the earliest he has crossed the Atlantic ahead of a bout.
But this will be his third stay in the fight capital of the world and Hatton is taking no chances ahead of the biggest fight of his life.
Having picked up a cold when staying in a hotel ahead of his Vegas debut against Juan Urango January, he is hiring a house along with brother Matthew and Phoenix Gym colleague Matthew Macklin.
They have their own chef in place and says Hatton, there are no concerns over homesickness - even this early before a fight.
"The house I am staying in is superb," he told skysports.com. "I am sharing it with our Matthew, and Matthew Macklin.
"We have settled in and we have our meals made for us by a chef called Rick funnily enough.
"He knows just what we need so it's already like a home away from home."
