Give Isco and Valverde. Maybe throw in Rodrygo... Asensio is very good too, as is Odegaard. But I really like Valverde and his game would be suited to England. He’s all action. Asensio seems to get more game time than Isco atm, but does seem behind Odegaard. |

We should have learnt the lesson when he made that 'caption this' post after Jose got fired.
First it was his 'dream of playing for Madrid' , then it was the french manager talking about how he is so much more happy at the French setup than the club ,now its his agent ..all this after Ole and the club has done everything to fit him into the team

Both are quality players but if you have to sell one, its going to be Isco. Odegaard has the potential to be a mainstay in Reals attack for a decade. Isco is the kind of player we need. Someone adept at playing in central midfield. Id prefer toni kroos to be honest 😁 If you swap Pogba for anyone it has to be a central midfielder, prefably a good passer of the ball. |

There’s a video doing the rounds online of Lampard giving his verdict on Pogba. As much as it pains me to say it, he’s bang on.
He makes horrendous decisions for a midfielder, dawdles on the ball too much. Can’t be trusted to defend, doesn’t contribute enough in attack. Not 100% sure he’s ever broken into a full sprint. He’s never dominated a midfield. I could name 5 great moments he’s had in a United shirt, but I genuinely don’t think I could name 5 great games.
There’s more to football than being talented. Being talented doesn’t make you a good player. If you watched Paul Pogba in clips you’d think he was amazing. That’s probably what the majority of us did when he played for Juve. But they weren’t exactly crying out for him after he left.
For a good while people thought letting go of Pogba was Fergie’s biggest mistake. Well he was right all along.

I doubt anyone would give less of a shit if he left. In fact the vast majority of United supporters would be a lot more pissed off to see him stay.
He's played different positions for United and never really impressed in any. Can't play him deep, yes he can hit wonderful long passes but you need someone with discipline and energy to sit deep; someone who just looks to mop up danger and keep the game moving. You can't have someone failing to watch runners and trying a stupid drag back and flick 30 yards from his own goal.
Put him further forward and he doesn't create enough. Yes he scores the odd goal, 16 in one season (load of them pens though), but his goals and assists numbers aren't strong enough to be the real creative force in the midfield, Fernandes is showing that right up.
So he's not particularly defensive, and not particularly attacking. So what is he? He just brings to mind those street footballers you see playing with a ball, load of tricks, keepy ups for hours, etc, but shite in an actual match. Or he reminds me of Giggs and Rooney in the last years of their United careers, they'd do one great thing in a match and people would rave about it, forgetting about the other 89 minutes they played where they were routinely shite and the game completely passed them by.
Just get rid. I've wanted Isco for years, get him in for God's sake.
