Personally i could understand why he would think about going.
It's a completely different situation with young foreign players and young local lads waiting for their chance. Local lads will have more patience because where else are they going to go? Blackburn/Bolton/Chesterfield. It's not like European clubs are falling over themselves to take young English talent that has spent a couple of years in an English academy.
The likes of Pogba know that European clubs will be sniffing, if only because United were originally. They need a greater guarantee of a chance otherwise they've wasted their time in a foreign country. Reason we lost two other talented youngsters who have gone on to show what they have because as soon as they left they were playing football beyond the wank level of reserve football and academy - Pique and Rossi.

There were players in their positions already who they were going to have a hard time shifting and they werent willing to wait for their chance

Ah c'mon, we need to sort this out asap.
EDIT: I don't think he'll go to Arsenal.

Why is this thread still going? i still havent seen a shred of evidence that his contract doesn't actually end in June 2013. So who gives a fuck if Arsenal are 'monitoring' him, they couldn't do anything at all till May 2013, 5 months behind a foreign team that could actually get a pre-contractual agreement. All seems like paper nonsense derived from Fergie comments that we'd have to give him chances in the future. Of course we will.
Central midfield is one of the most demanding area's to play in. He spent most of last season playing with the academy, with few reserve games. He did miss several months of 2010 with a knee injury so Fergie probably wanted to keep him safer with the 17 year olds half his size. So far he;s put in some good reserve performances this year and had 2 carling cup appearances. I expect him to start at Palace unless a situation demands otherwise. It all seems part of the long term plan to me. Nothing to whine about, developing players takes time.

So were panicking over nothing?
I presumed the people new what they were talking about when saying his contract was up in the summer.
Clarity on the situation anyone?

Why do the media seem to think his contract runs out next summer? I could swear I read 2013.

I'm a huge fan of Pogba's but he needs time. He's being properly managed by Fergie but centre mid in the prem is not for the faint-hearted. He will be physically very imposing but he still has a fair bit of growing to do as he is quite lanky right now. He needs a couple of stone of muscle which will come in time. Every thing else is there.
