This was naughty by Draxler last night; How have Schalke managed to get Draxler and Meyer in the same squad in the Bundesliga? Delighted that Bayern hasn't pillaged them already, but not confident it'll last if that pair progresses as they look like they could. |

I hope to Dortmund though, he plays their kind of football. But more realistically, Arsenal or Chelsea. |

Barcelona don't play total football. It's a very good, pretty style of football, but it isn't total football. totally agree, people see a possession based game and assume its total football. Total football is a loaded term, yes it was about dominating the ball but never for the sake of it. Barcelona do not play total football, never have. If you read the book Brillant Orange, you will get a better idea of what the dutch meant by total football. |

It's probably why I get so annoyed at all this Barca = 'total football' nonsense. Half an iota of research into it would prove that their style is absolutely no total football. Some interesting stuff in it about van Gaal too actually, given that I decided to re-read it when all the talk was of LVG's imminent appointment. Really divides opinion. |
