How good is Ozil? He oozes class, superb touch and close control. He'd be a superb signing.

FFS. i was complaining about the standard of games before but this is a class act 4-0.
About the suspension rules: is it a two game ban for a straight red?

on ozil yes he looks tidy but wait until he plays against a decent side. klose and podolski may do it for germany but theres alot of dishonesty in a player who can score so many goals in world cups but for the next 4 years be utter kack. There both average players and don't really do it against top class sides. You do hope that Heskey had the same kind of "dishonesty" you speak of?

Yeah, Podolski has scored more goals for his country than he has in the German division. I'd be wondering what the hell is wrong with him if i was his club manager

Cacau has 9 caps and 4 goals. That´s not too bad either.

Australia aren't that different from the US to be honest. A lot of their players play in their substandard domestic league or in second rate teams in England, they are the best teams in very poor confederations who can sometimes provide the odd shock but aren't really that good.
Germany are doing to Austrailia what we should've done to the US yesterday. Keep the ball, pass and move and put the ball in the back of the net when you get the chance. We had better win our group because on current form Germany will embarass us.

Ok, Algeria and Slovenia were not that convincing so you still have a great chance of topping the group.

Algeria and Slovenia don't have the level to win the group, so it is a straight battle between England and the USA. I think both England and the USA will win their last two games so, it will come down to goal difference, which could decide if England play against Germany or not.

Germany will be one tough team to beat.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Klose and Podolski Polish? they have no German blood in them at all.

They are. Both of them originally from Poland. They have to have some German in them though to play for Germany. Right?

Yeah, Podolski moved to Germany at a young age so was naturalised by Germany. Klose's father was German so thats how he obtained German nationality.
Oh, and its a 1 game ban for a red

Cheers SET. It would definitely have been harsh to be out of tournament because of that.

Well, that was a brilliant performance, even before the harsh red. Best football so far by a country mile from ze Germans.

Klose and Podolski are of Polish decent, Ozil is turkish. Very few proper Germans in their team if your bothered to look them all up.
