So the premise was kickboxing (Nagashima) against MMA (Aoki), first round kickboxing and second round MMA, problem was that the ref couldn't punish them for not adhering to the rules of the respective sports so Aoki just took the piss in the first round and ran down the clock by doing stupid moves that forced the ref to split them for a few more seconds.

Would have been interesting to see how the second round would have developed but Aoki pretty much got his comeuppance for his first round performance, brutal KO.

been catching up on some old UFC's. 81, 87, got 91 and 100 still to watch. and 1 & 2 which i'm saving til last. i'm not the biggest fan and skip a few fights though, i just like watching the name guys

UFC 1 & 2 was eye opening. very different to what we get today

as much as i know the gracie family are legends of MMA going back generations, and royce gracie was the dominator in the early days of UFC, i was disappointed shamrock didn't rough him up a bit. thought he held on to gordeau way too long when gordeau was already tapping, didn't like to see that.

Anyone on here as big a fan of Jon 'Bones' Jones as me? I think this kid is exactly what MMA needs. He's a flashy striker with a unique style that we need to see more of in my opinion.

Also, I'm a huge, huge fan of the addition of Bantam and Featherweight to the UFC. Their fights are so fast paced and exciting, I think it's great.
