Brock Lesner is a fat cunt, GSP is god, I will never consider Fedor the best in the world till he proves it against UFC standard fighters, Frank Mir is fun to watch, and Anderson Silva is great. And whenever I hear Forrest Griffin I think of Forrest Gump.
Was browsing through old pages of this thread out of boredom and came across this absolute beauty. Just about choked on my cider when I read it.
Blaydes is a very low IQ fighter though. Lewis could see it coming a mile away and was literally waiting for it.
You're not wrong. All Curtis had to do was keep points fighting and he wold have easily won by decision. Credit to him, I guess. That would've been a boring as fuck fight, but instead he gave us something memorable. It's crazy that such huge differences in skill level just don't matter at HW. All you need is a murder punch and you'll be in the top 5. It's why good fighters like Blaydes and Volkov will probably never be champion. They keep running into big punchers whenever they get some momentum.
We're probably now going to get Lewis vs. Ngannou II for the next title shot after Jones gets his act together. Can't wait...

Don't think Lewis is going to get a title shot, he himself said that he doesn't want a 5 rounds fight. I think winner of Stipe vs Ngannou will fight Jon Jones I think and Lewis vs Overeem.

Yeah, because unfortunately while the bigger you are your punching power usually goes up in multiples, your head still stays more or less the same with respect to impact it can absorb. To be honest, HW division is my least favorite. The only HW fights I would watch right now are the title fights or a fight with Ngannou in it. It's a stagnant division.
I think Miocic still beats Ngannou handily over 5 rounds though. He's the GOAT heavyweight imo.

Stipe versus Jon Jones , now that will be some fight.

I think in terms of skill, Stipe should just be able to school Francis again, but as you say, you just never really know because if Miocic takes a full shot from him, he’s going to bed.
I think with Jones coming up the division could certainly get more interesting, but there’s not really any depth of quality there at the moment.

Dunno mate. Miocic did eat some good ones first time around.

Yeah fair point, think it affected him going into that first fight with DC too.
