Ah cool. I gotcha.
Terrifying to hear about the Broncos decline due to an incorrect appointment...
Did they claw their way back up by appointing some Norwegian fella that had scored a last-gasp touchdown to clinch the Super Bowl in '99 by any chance?

Not far off actually!Their greatest hero, Elway, went and got experience running a team in a lower league and came back. He's the general manager, not coach but runs everything else. But it's taken years and they were an absolute laughing stock for a while.

My first game was the Bears in Chicago in 1986, bloody freezing and frostbite. Later saw the Buccaneers in Tampa, burned to crisp in the Florida sunshine. Regular watcher now and been to many games. Because I lived in several towns I also keep an eye on the Ravens, Dolphins and 49ers. Was very dismissive of it through playing rugby but once I learned the rules and the culture it became an easy follow. In many ways its harder and faster than rugby. However, I now enjoy all three (NFL diving in the box, rugby style missed tackles, and moronic footy) regularly on display at OT this season.

I lived in Chicago so have a fondness for the Bears (who fucked up badly last Sunday) I worked security on a game in Cleveland, guy I knew got me the job. He brought me down pitch level. The hits were out of this world up close, really savage. Looking forward to the playoffs. Still think it's Denver-Seattle but New England and maybe the Packers might have something to say about it.

Necks, spines and eyes being particularly gruesome injuries. High impact damage by the most bizarre causes. The players also suffer very badly in retirement. Chicago is a favourite stateside, especially Rush street and Kingston Blues...

Tight games last night and will probably be the same tonight. See if the Bungles can win, and hoping that Green Bay win (even though they are a divisional rival to my Lions i cannot stand the 49ers)

That chiefs colts game was incredible. 49ers scraped through. Not sure how I feel about playing the chargers next week. It's a bit like playing an English team in the European cup!

It's also been interesting and worrying to see how quickly the Broncos, who were perrenial challengers, fell to embarassing levels by appointing the wrong coach. It's only in the last few years we're back at the top. So we have something in common with them then.

Seattle have got one of the best defences in the league but there appears to be no stopping Denver this year. As long as Denver avoid turnovers i cannot see anything other than Denver win.
