Have to say. America really is the new Rome. The half time show concert, the media coverage, the amount of people watching - fireworks even... all from one country, every year, not sure if the Champions League can compare. More like the likes of a World Cup final. Entertainment consumption just quite unbelievable.

That was brutal. There are good performances but the Seahawks were just inspired. It'll be interesting to see how teams go about combating them. Interestingly the team that has most success against them is the 49ers, as they are used to them, not intimidated by them and have a pretty tough defence of their own. I think last night was one of those nights, it turned into the twilight zone for Denver early and snowballed from there. It really does feel like Rome to me, in that I'd love to play the game straight again. Oh well. |
