Fuck going out today, weather is shit and I'm on my own. Going for a classic triple of The green mile, Gladiator and The Shawshank redemption. I'll be bawling my eyes at all three and I don't care!

Just after watching Oppenheimer. Have to say the nuke scene was pretty underwhelming. You don't learn much about the actual process of building the bomb. I've read books on the subject and the engineering challenges were mammoth and took the greatest minds in the world to solve them. You don't get any sense of that while watching it. Can't help feel that it could have been more that film.

Just watched "leave the world behind" on Netflix (really should learn to avoid this by now).
Stay well clear. Never been so pissed at an ending of a film. 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.

And the daughters Friends obsession was weird and pointless (not to mention did she not ask her mother at any point "Umm, is that you in friends?!"). Killers of the Flower Moon I really enjoyed, typical MS film, i.e. it's about 17 hours long, but good film and pretty heartbreaking story. |

Killers of the Flower Moon I really enjoyed, typical MS film, i.e. it's about 17 hours long, but good film and pretty heartbreaking story. You should read the book too. |

Anyone But You is a fun rom-com for people who like that sort of thing. Glad I went in the cinema, that sort of film has been completely dominated by Netflix in the past 5-7 years so it's good to see one go back to the big screen.
Also very clearly heavily funded by the Australian tourist board, makes Sydney look incredible. (Sydney Sweeney looks pretty good too.)

Looks very odd but getting good reviews and Cage is apparently superb in it, as he has been in a few things recently.
