I say it every tournament but the mental stamina to play for nearly 2 weeks straight is crazy. My head goes after 2 hours.

This is incredible. In matchplay, John Higgins is unequalled.
C'mon John!!!

Average frame time just over 16 minutes. Shows the incredible standard this final's been played at.

The pot attempt from Higgins was a shocker though. Nowhere near. Kind of chance they've both been knocking in all match.

Think the reason this game has been so good is because of the contrasting styles of the players.
As mentioned, Higgins is the best match player in the game.
Williams is a maverick and probably the best shot maker in the game.
I could watch these 2 play each other in a best of 99 quite happily!

I think Williams has run out of steam here. He's definitely been the player of the tournament as well. I spoke far too soon.

Higgins is a cracking shout but i think Murphy is the best shot taker. Maybe Trump as well.

Back then he was widely regarded as one of the best middle and long distance potters ever. Also some of the more elaborate shots he takes on compared to others are just unreal, which is shown by the amount of shots he could've had for shot of the tournament. Whether he keeps this form up next year or this is kind of his last hurrah, I'm not sure but he's a joy to watch when he plays snooker like this. So entertaining.

Really annoyingly he looks to be taking on the harder shots and not missing this tournament. Much more exciting than when I watched Selby live last year.

Very boring to watch but man he's hard to beat (not this year obviously). He'll probably win a couple more world titles before he's done as well.
